  • I'm fine with bt 90% of the time, but every so often I forget to charge my earbuds and wish i could use wired.

Given the relatively low cost, I'd prefer having a headphone jack around, even if I only use it once every 2 months.

  • It's an excuse to union bust.

It seems like the playbook for any company that wants to downsize now is to mandate RTO. That way, they can justify firing people with cause.

In the past, they had to move their operations to Bumfuck, Nowhere and request that employees move, so that those who don't move can be fired easily. RTO mandates are a godsend for such companies now. Cause to fire without cost!

  • as it enforces a strict return-to-office policy that was introduced after a majority of employees announced a plan to unionize

This was an excuse for them to get rid of the pesky union forming troublemakers. Despicable.

  • I see a lot of chat but nothing else.

If lemmy works now, use it. If the devs/admins implement weird shit, stop using it. Life ain't that complicated.

I personally moved from lemmy.world because I don't like their defederation policy. I also block all beehaw communities because I don't think they're acting in the interest of the lemmyverse. You don't have to agree with any of that, but that's the beauty of self-agency. Join whatver instance you want, block whatever you want, hell, use lemmy or kbin only if you agree with its policies.

  • Don't really care how the Android logo looks, I just wish Google would fix the ridiculously oversized quick toggles and unnecessary whitespace they added in Android 12.

Oh, and the nesting of mobile data/WiFi toggles under another layer.

  • Great, most major ISPs now block all torrent, file-sharing and kodi sites because rightsholders paid them to.

Some ISPs are also blocking sites talking about abortion and LGBTQ issues because of pressure from certain states.

No thanks, I'd rather live in a world where the ramifications of far-reaching actions are considered properly. Next.
