One of the devs she was complaining about got fired. The blowback hit harder though. She got fired, her (former) employer and her personal blog both got DDOSed, and she received a shitload of graphic death threats.
I'm not angry and I'm certainly not a centrist. All I wanna know is what you're doing to justify taking the moral high ground. Seeing an obvious problem (the DNC is a dumpster fire) doesn't get you points with anyone.
If all you do is post, you're just noise. Do you participate in any kind of direct action? Do you volunteer? Are you advocating for anything, or are you just venting?
What if the homunculus argues that it, as a new and distinct being, has committed no crimes, and deserves to live? What if it begs for its life as you load it into the teleporter to split it back up into your science officer and annoying morale officer shoot it into the sun?
I've only been on lemmy for like a week, so I have no point of comparison here. It doesn't feel janky to me, but then I'm not a power user. It works well for what I like to do, which is view posts and comment. Images display well, I haven't noticed any problems with video. I haven't tried embedding images in comments yet, let's try it with a photograph of the richest man in Indiana:
