Took me a while to see anything other than cake in this picture

I find that beans taste like various flavours of dirt and vomit (with the exception of green beans), how did you learn to like them?

What's truly wild is a news source providing the video at the top of the story without any overlays, talking heads or extraneous crap. Astonishing.

As far as I can tell the cybertruck guy killed himself as a pro trump awareness campaign and it's the best suicide bombing i've heard of in many years. Will never cease being funny.

Everyone i've known who wanted to go to the US was interested in making easy money by scamming people. That's the type who admire the US.

Most people want to see themselves as having overcome some sort of adversity to earn whatever they have in life, and that creates a bias to see one’s own life as unlucky and miserable. I definitely went through a phase of seeing my life this way as a kid.

This is your own bias speaking, you assume most people are just like you and that your own personal experience is universal.

What about the violent crime of setting someone on fire? I have to admit I have no problem with shooting that guy in the head (if he's guilty).

If someone did that then lemmy would be cheering. The only problem people have with this video is that she's hurting the wrong people.

I sit in the corner by myself on break and when assholes ask me why I respond with 'it's my break'.

I remember going to work in the city and thinking something was off but it took a moment to figure out what was different. The streets were filled with leaves because the trees were all dying.

I accidentally got a manual labor job and it's the only way I have or will ever exercise.

Voluntary exercise is the most physically and mentally torturous activity. It is pure boredom plus pain and has never made me feel anything but worse, eg curled up on the couch staring at the wall for an hour in despair. Fuck exercise.

Turns out that if you pay me and give me a reason to move around I have no problem. Exercise for it's own sake is just not doable for me, the pointlessness and misery are depression inducing.

I work with people from about 15 different countries and everyone asks everyone where they are from. I'm a white Australian and I have been asked where I am from numerous times. It is a perfectly fucking normal way of making conversation and plenty of people enjoy telling others about where they are from. This is really the woke bullshit tbat gives the left a bad name.
