  • The good news is that long as she represents the GOP, it's really easy to criticize the whole party. The more the party lets her act like an ass, the more effort they have to spend covering for her or being embarrassed by her. Is it fair to paint the whole party with a wide brush just because of one ok many assholes? I think so. The GOP can clean up their own shit or answer for it. And really, she's 1/435th of half of congress. I'd rather the money wasted to beat her was spent in other more winnable races.

  • Good questions. The VP would be president if the elected president can't do the job for any reason (death, incapacitaiton, etc.). If Trump chooses a kid as his running mate, and wins, then yes. Trump would never cede power to anyone though. He'd try to run the country from prison, and in his role as commander-in-chief, would be constantly ordering the military to break him out.

  • I disagree with your assessments - Russia is experiencing negative impact on a national level (they just grew NATO!) and on the personal level. Sanctions could be working better but are still effective, nonviolent methods to effect change. Add other measures to them, sure, but don't take them away as some sanctions (including older legislation like the Magnitsky act) target the exact people being dicks.

  • US GDP: $76339 per capita. x1.8% = 1374.102
    UK GDP $45850 per capita x 0.4% = 183.4
    RUS GDP $15607 per capita x 1.5% = 234.11

RU can expect growth, but their GDP is still shit. 1.5% growth puts the UK economy at just under 3x the Russian one. I know which currency I'd trust more and where (all other things being equal, which they're not) I'd invest.

  • I'm sure they'll find evidence of a Ukranian special ops team in their investigation. Or maybe bomb parts in imperial sizes, indicating American origin. It doesn't matter what the lie is; just that they have one that can't be questioned.

  • Not as of last January when I tried to buy one. I was able to test drive one and found it acceptable but it was the only one available, it was significantly over MSRP (it was Premier trim, so >$35k) and I could order one but they flat out told me I'd be waiting a minimum of five months.

  • 14th amendment: passed Congress on June 13th, 1866.
Das Kapital was first published in 1867.
You have to be really ahead of the game to build a gateway for something that is published next year, in another language, and on another continent when the fastest form of travel between the two took weeks.
