  • I always recommend kbin to every question. 100% no complaints so far

  • My current campaign we run a salt business. It's a very serious business

  • We always try to do that. We had really bad experience renting a condo from a resort at the wedding location from some rich lawyer who used it as vacation home / money making scheme when we had to reschedule due to covid. He gave us nothing even though the governor closed all the beaches and urged no one to come. I bet that's so common.

Also it's packed with chains but the best food we had was from two different small food trucks. Overall it's a great place when interacting with people who live there

  • I went to Hawaii for a vacation in 2021 and I don't think I will go back. It's a beautiful place full of beautiful people and is frankly magnetic. However, I felt so bad being there after learning more about it's history and after all the tourists coming during COVID even though the governor said to not come. White lotus really didn't help either. A beautiful place that deserve to have people who live there direct what happens to it.

  • I've really been seeing this for programming questions and it's infuriating. It's dozens of different sites that are either copying the one stack overflow forum or an endless repeat of the same question. It wasn't even 2 years ago that you could find the answer easily. Now it's all crap and so hard to find the official documentation.

  • Absolutely. And not only would a column like that be painful to write, it wouldn't be very fun to read either.

I think you are totally correct about this. I also think that most columns that are exclusive about someone own dating behavior can get old fast anyhow. It feels like they are doing things just for the story.

It would work best as Q&A type column and would be great if it had a non-traditional bent. Like the male author was Bi, polyamorous or kinky to have a specific bent about it.

  • I love Dan Savage and I really enjoy when he talks about his sexuality from a male perspective as a straight male. I do think there should be more straight male writers about this. I would really enjoy hearing from them in the classic question and answer format

  • I have been reading / listening to Dan Savage for years for my sex and relationship advice. With him being a gay man its interesting to hear his perspective as a man and dating men. Its been wonderful for my development and I highly recommend him to everyone.

That being said it would be interesting to hear from a straight or bi men as well. I often hear things that he says about men in general that I disagree with and wonder if its me, a gay thing or something different. A diversity of voices is always helpful especially if its about kink. Its more interesting as a topic and there are plenty of kinky woman writing now and few kinky men. Which is ironic since there are more kinky identified men than woman as a population overall

  • Nothing funnier when hearing the players come up with the right solution right away and then immediately dismissing it.

  • Adding into this is tracking of time for the moving of the familiar / manifest mind. If a DM never tracks time for scouting then some of the tension is lost. Look at the dungeon movement rates for the 10 minute dungeon turn (I used combat movement x4 for standard 10 minute turn. This is standardize against based on some older rule sets but the DMG has a similar formula).

So by tracking this spell durations will expire, enemies will move throughout the dungeon or wandering monsters will happen. Without tracking time a lot of important decisions are missed.

  • This reminds me of a new Role Playing game I found this year: Coyote and Crow

  • I second Minneapolis and the Twin Cities. Its large enough that there everything you can look for. All of the professional sports team including a new women's hockey and soccer league as well as the big four sport leagues. A great music scene with First-Avenue being an anchor which brings touring bands here often. Since its small you can get out into nature from the cities with very little effort. You can't really go anywhere else easily so it makes it feel small as well.

Minnesota has one of the lowest unemployment rate of any state still I think. So take a look at jobs before moving here but I think with the unemployment rate you should be get a job in the Twin Cities. Might need to look into it

  • I recommend starting with young adult novels. There are a lot of great ones and they are easy to get into. Large fonts makes fast reading. They generally have an interesting theme and simple plot. Great way to get started. Trying to go from nothing to something complex like Infinite Jest is a recipe to fail.

They aren't all love triangles anymore

  • It's important for relationships to treat each other as a person first. Later on it's important to treat someone like a person when it's appropriate and an object only when they want to. It's a hard skill to do especially when young and horny

  • I would do this in various level of details in a document. Start with with an elevator pitch blurb that is a a short paragraph. This will give details like dnd fantasy but insert your differing or hook here.

Then get into details about what the starting city and maybe the main enemy or theme if it's known. Then plan on having a proper session 0 where you place people in your world together. Make sure to end with a practice combat or short adventure to get the sea legs on the new characters

  • It's worthwhile if it's on sale. Just got to find the right time. Hard to plan around it since you never know when it's cheap enough.

Roasts I might start doing more than steaks. Since steaks never go on sale near me

  • I have stopped eating as much beef mostly for economical reasons. I used to eat steak since I loved it and its easy to cook. However, its now way too expensive to buy casually. I love a good steak at a restaurant so that is mostly the only time I eat it now. That it is bad for my health and the environment are mostly secondary.

  • I saw that. Hopefully that is a true energy return and not some marketing 80%. Cool if true

  • Most caterpillars are mildly poisonous since they only eat a single type of plant so they are immune to the plants poisonous effect. That gets into their fleshy hotdog body. Unfortunately most birds are also mostly immune.
