Like ciggies, alcohol, and even honest old fashioned gambling, the government really needs to step in and regulate this stuff. Addicts will only hurt themselves, then their community.
One of the many reasons I ditched my old doctor was that hey was always late even when I booked the first appointment of the day. He'd wander in late, say the same excuse about traffic every time and proceed to be a shit gp in general.
Growing up, some friends had a house kangaroo. It was afraid of everyone but them. Sometimes when visiting I'd find it on the couch and it'd sorta have a low key "oh fuck people" reaction, get up and hop off.
Edit: There's a nice story of one night the old bloke saw the roo grab and drag the labrador out of the warm spot in front of the fire only to steal the spot for itself.
These people also had a donkey that was welcome in the house.
They'll sell every year to their fan base. The guys I know who play FIFA, only play fifa on console and they absolutely love it. They want the new version with the new player names and jerseys.
It's no secret that meat/dairy has a huge carbon footprint, the concept of reducing your animal produce intake for the benefit of the environment is pretty well established. We should be looking to reduce our impact as individuals as well as a species where we can, via both immediate options for purchasing choices as well as quality research in to better ways to do so.
Eating less meat et al is something we can personally do. The very wealthy have massive carbon footprints, mainly due to their ability to consume resources. It's like I still pick up my dog's shit at the park even though not everyone does. Giving up because not everyone is trying to care for the environment is definitely not the solution.
