I didn't realise, that makes it all okay.

My friend has a t-shirt that says "fuck off I'm coding" on the back. If anyone bothers him while he's in the zone he packs up for the day and goes home.

The offer I got was Sat night, 8pm start, minimum wage ($30.14), expected 3am finish (casual, maybe early dismissal) counting votes at an OPC (cold warehouse). I wouldn't take that shift for any job TBH. Maybe I'm being too picky but that's atrocious pay and hours for a one off ~7 hour job.
