  • But that's our realistic alternative.

Either we work with the EU, who (even if not perfect) have sane, useful laws, with oversight of our own government, or we work with the corrupt tories only, who will keep taking and leave us with nothing.

Perhaps we should have made sure our country wasn't being run into the ground before getting rid of any oversight.

But now it's too late, and the results are clear no matter what your fantasy brexit was. The Tories were in charge when you voted to give them more power. And now they have more power. Shocked Pikachu.

  • Hold on now, the EU had given us our rules on annoying things like keeping our water clean, allowing citizens to move around, and human rights.

How are we meant to exploit people and the environment being told to live like that?

In fact, the UK has been strong armed into over 52,000 laws!

    https://www.thomsonreuters.com/en/press-releases/2017/march/eu-laws-introduced-in-the-uk-highlights-scale-of-challenge-facing-lawmakers-following-brexit.html

Look, they're irritating things like reducing pollution, stopping our packaging from containing hazardous chemicals, keeping working hours fair, protecting temporary workers rights, banker regulation... how are the Tory government supposed to fuck everyone over with all these in place?

  • I just asked what you believe about that specific topic. You said they have no right to it.

But they say historically they were there long before Ukraine was ever a thing and it's rightfully their land, so they're taking it by force.

So do you believe that Israel has a right to the land in Palestine due to their historic ties?

  • Just because our military is in your country, stealing land, and keep killing you REALLY WELL, doesn't mean you can retaliate to stop us.

    You should tell Ukraine.

I don't think your justification of "they're just really good at killing Palestinians" really helps

  • If someone breaks into your house and says "give me this house and all your stuff or I'll kill you and your family" and you refuse, so they kill you and take your house, are you in the wrong for not accepting their peace deal?

  • It's because the media is super biased in the UK and US, I assume. The reporting on the BBC has been all about how bad Palestine have been acting but nothing about what Israel is doing to them.

OF COURSE attacking a music festival is bad. But in context, I'm not fucking surprised they're lashing out, and with more context, I think most people would feel pretty extremist if they were being killed and pushed out of their homes constantly for almost 100 years.

But hey the UK/US has to pretend nothing ireal does is wrong because they created this mess.

  • It's always those pesky Palestinians doing the slaughtering! For 75 years!

That's how they've been taking more and more land from Israel and they even build a gigantic illegal wall to box those poor Israelis in and stop them being able to leave freely! And with their military backing and funding from giant powerhouses in the west, those poor Israelis don't stand a chance, it's about time they fought back and stood up for themselves! They should defend their homes just like Ukraine!

    Wait...

  • Sorry, yeah I went from k2 to k2se. It's tough. Lots of waiting around for resources really, with no way to expand without them.

I think this is where I draw the line, it's a bit too grindy for my liking. K2 was a perfect amount of 'extra'. I love the thought of se but having to make a new base for every resource is getting tiring even when I've blueprinted half of it in advance. Also a married man with a 1yr old and a business to run. 3 hours sleep is my life.
