I'm about to finish Phoenix Wright 1 and with it the whole saga (I started my replay with 2), and I'm playing Breath Of Fire IV. The first time was 2 years ago and my phone died mid-playthrough, hopefully this time there will be no issues. I'm playing it on an RG Cube for the portability, the only downside is I can't fully appreciate the gorgeous sprite work in such a small screen.
I played it when the PSX translation was released and loved it. I was thinking about playing it again soon, I'm about to finish the Phoenix Wright saga and this was the game that came to mind.
Weirdly enough, I would have loved to play the PC-98 version, I see the art style and find it more attractive, maybe because I find it closer to Snatcher.
My 3rd gen i3 laptop has: dead battery, broken screen(about 1/3 of the screen is dead), loose USB ports that work when they feel like it and a decrepit HDD that was slow even when it was new. I have it for emergencies, but I don't think it's worth rebuilding it.
Might this be the one for my father? He drowns in Windows, I don't want to think what Linux can do to his brain. I kept a Windows SSD to help him troubleshoot any problem he stumbled upon, but it died last week and all my attempts to install it on another SSD were met with the setup asking me for drivers, no matter what I tried to provide, I never got past that screen. So I don't know what to do, I guess I'll just wait and see, but I'm already eyeing some options.
I paid for it for a while some time ago, but stopped because I don't play many recent games anymore. I can wait for the games to be very cheap and buy them on Steam or GOG, and also play more indie games than ever, and I also have retro gaming.
It was obvious from the start that they would start rising prices as soon as they got to a critical number of subscribers, it was too good to be true for a long time. I think the regular subscription was something like 5€ a month when I used it, now the price has doubled and it's going to keep rising without a doubt.
