  • Luke's father in 4 wasn't important to the plot. He wasn't even named. If a character in a movie doesn't get a name, they're not important. Luke's father had the kind of abstract importance that matters to characters but not to the audience.

  • Vision is Jarvis after he became fully self aware and got a body.

Gamora is a space mercenary who joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Bruce Banner is the guy who turns into the Hulk.

Groot is an anthropomorphic tree who only says "I am Groot"

    Mjolnir is Thor's magic hammer

  • Vision and Gamora both die but Gamora gets replaced with a time clone. The Hulk and Banner integrate and become Smart Hulk. Captain America wields Mjolnir and Thor forges an axe called Stormbreaker whose handle is Groot's arm.

  • No movie ruined the themes of Star Wars as much as ESB. Every important person being a Skywalker or a Palpatine turns Luke into plot royalty, and takes away his specialness as an everyman hero.

  • Studies show self esteem is more impacted by the values a person grew up with than their own values. That means most of the time, developing or changing your own values doesn't increase self esteem. You need to be respected in a way that makes sense in the culture you grew up with. Some people can overcome their birth culture, but not many.
