(in the US) an organization for students with the best grades at school or college. Culture. They can be for general academic achievement or for some specific areas of study.
Drag spoke to thing and bot said bot explained the problem badly. The ad wasn't covering the season indicator, it was above the season indicator. Those are both "on top".
Bot ignored the season indicator because bot was too autistic to tell the season indicator wasn't part of the ad. Drag feels embarrassed and misled. Bot saw this post and didn't explain the misunderstanding until drag asked about your comment, so drag is very confused.
You're right, monarchs aren't democratic. Which means, monarchs have no claim to represent the will of the people. The English have no choice in who King Charles is, so he doesn't reflect on them. The Americans had a choice in Trump and they decided they wanted him over Kamala. So he's reflective of who they are.
America isn't a true democracy. There's gerrymandering, and electoral college, and first past the post. But it used to have one little bit of democracy left at the federal level. And then America voted for Trump.
Kamala didn't even get the popular vote. Because Americans didn't think it was worth trying to win that like they did in 2016. The popular vote is the bragging rights to say the government doesn't represent the people, and Americans didn't want it.
So, Americans chose to be thought of by the world as fascists. Not all of them, but most of them didn't get up and choose otherwise. Few enough said no, that more were able to say yes. The default American image is a fascist. Nobody should be beholden to a default image, but that is the starting point. The mode average.
Yeast is closer to the animal kingdom than the plant kingdom. It's a living organism you need to feed so it will grow your food. You need to make it comfortable and give it an environment to thrive and then kill it when it's the yummiest.
So you're saying no more people are going to die because of Trump's presidency than would have under Kamala? You're making a direct argument that Trump is 0% worse for Palestinians, Ukrainians, trans people, and immigrants?
Is that a deontological moral stance or a consequentialist one? Drag asks because it seems like a deontological moral stance, and if your deontology is that you can never choose between two bad options and need to abdicate responsibility instead, well those are garbage ethics that will cause genocide to happen.
No, you're forgetting the first paragraph of drag's answer. Only part of drag's action to oppose the genocide was to tell people to vote for the politician who was campaigning to reduce her organisation's support for genocide. It seems like you're having some trouble holding the entire situation in your head.
Drag will make this very simple: don't do nothing when a genocide is happening.
Drag attends biweekly rallies to protest against the genocide. These rallies have effectively changed the government's stance on the Palestine issue and begun a shift in public and political opinion away from ties with Israel. Netanyahu says drag's country have betrayed him and we're all antisemites.
Drag also told Americans to vote for Harris so that things wouldn't get worse while we direct action doers solved the problem. Unfortunately, Trump won the election, so it looks like it's going to be very difficult to end the genocide no matter how much direct action we do, unless we put a bullet in Trump's head. Thanks to the US's decision to ramp up financial and military support for the genocide, we've had to change priorities from stopping the genocide, to just getting refugees out and a safe place to live. It sucks.
