I agree completely. 1/5 children are food insecure in my area. 20%. That's insane. We are a wealthy country and I'm in a major metropolitan area and yet, 20% of kids don't know where their next meal is coming from.

I don't know either, but it's absolute bullshit. As far as I know, unemployment only counts only those who are looking for work, but can't find it. What about those unemployed, want to be employed, couldn't find a job, and gave up?

You and me both. I love documentaries and when I get on a space kick, I think about this a lot. What did it look like? What's nothing? My brain can't fathom literally nothing. It had to be some sort of something. Almost makes me want to say that the universe does have a creator, but in that case, where'd the creator come from? (My favorite creation myth is that the Goddess danced and galaxies spun off on her dress. Makes as much sense as any of the others.)

This is actually really cool. I have no idea about any of it, but I remember watching a documentary a long time ago that said certain mathematical patterns repeat all over nature. What you said seems similar to that.

You're deliberately misunderstanding. You are conflating choice with people wanting the law to be a specific way. You don't want an abortion? Don't have one. That has nothing to do with me. My potential abortion has nothing to do with you. Once you decide to make it illegal for me to have an abortion, that is taking away all choice. The law allowing for either/or is not making a choice on your ability to not have an abortion; that doesn't take away from you. You still get to decide to not have one.

This is so messed up. The fetus has trisomy 18 and will likely die hours to days after birth, but they don't care about that or the mother's anguish knowing she's carrying a doomed fetus. What pieces of shit.

I don't think so, no, especially because it mentions a "quick child" which likely refers to quickening or feeling the fetus move. It bans abortions after quickening which would generally be 18-20 weeks gestation. Section five allows abortion at any time if three doctors say it's necessary. Section one could be argued since the mother wants it done, it's not illegal.

They can and I wish they would, but it's too late this election. Anyone else would have two weeks or so to get on the ballot and get name recognition and get people to like what they're doing. Not really sure that's possible.
