  • Try going into a menu first.

  • From what I understand is that the warming isn't linear but exponential and we are already at the point of no return well ahead of predictions.

The world we are leaving for the next generations is going to be a hot drought ridden wasteland because companies and governments for decades have been polluting and destroying the environment in the endless quest for money with basically no repercussions.

Companies have been allowed to dump toxic waste into the ground then walk away from it leaving the tax payers to fund the cleanup.

This is happening because of greed.

  • Just had fun with this with my optiplex 790.

    Things I have found:

If you are using the front USB ports try the lower ports.

Make sure that you have formatted your live USB properly.

On boot press F12 to get the one time boot menu, if everything is right you should get a menu that gives you legacy boot options with UEFI boot options below that.

The big thing here is that not all live distros appear to work with the Dell UEFI implementation (got Linux Lite and Manjaro working)

  • This is why you back up your data!

I use both Timeshift and Lucky Backup.

Timeshift is setup to back up the entire OS and user data and fire off a backup when updating (onto an internal drive).

Lucky Backup has been setup to do a one way sync of my user folders (doc's, download, pictures, videos etc) onto an external drive.

  • Getting Italian mobster vibes.

    "Wise guy eh"

  • Pretty sure he looks concerned that you aren't giving him attention & treats.

  • There is a large update coming down the line soon so it may be in that version.

The dev was most likely targeting Lemmy version 19.xx for feature updates and had to wait for it to be stable and most instances updated to 19.

I know Lemmy.world has only recently updated to 19 as it was released then about 4 or 5 point releases came out in a single month.

  • Yep and in game menu.

I had the same issue when playing Minecraft until I realized that I had to go into a menu so the game would unlock the mouse &/or keyboard.

  • Looks like old.lemmy.world is fine as well.

Not sure what happened with just that post and image.

  • Test link Test

This is a test link to see if it is the image

  • Try going into a menu first so the game isn't stealing the mouse and keyboard focus.

  • Sync has been fixed but will have to check old.lemmy.world later

  • Sync has been fixed but not sure if the old.lemmy.world UI has been fixed.

  • The top link crashes Sync as well.

The bottom one brings up a webpage saying something about a home instance.
