The main thing you're missing is that the words of the court are meaningless. They'll always be able to use the next ruling to bend the outcome to the conservatives' whims.

Basically, some trans people want to have bottom surgery before going to college. And wrt top surgery, some trans masc teens want access to the same medical options as cis male teens.

The article also mentions lowering the age hormones are prescribed. That prevents problems with bone density that come with being on puberty blockers too long. It also prevents people needing top surgery.

But the New York Terfs don't like that.

I'm a trans person that has struggled with suicidal thoughts/depression for a long time. I also oppose genocide, although I don't like telling people how to vote.
