  • it's very much not empathy in the military. it's teamwork. if the person never carries their share of the workload they're just dragging you down. in most other workplaces that can be annoying to mildly dangerous. in the military, with everything that is involved in that, it can be exceptionally dangerous, for everyone on the boat or in your unit or whatever.

  • you're just a miserable little troll, aren't you?

edit: i am a veteran. every veteran matters. but anyone that actually served their country understand that the entire concept of a unit is to help each other. support each other. because we're not all the same. and we're not all strong at the same time.

  • yeah i put ~80 hours into before they started pumping out paid dlc for their early access game and haven't touched it since. and any remote desire to maybe get more out of money spent was immediately soured by that size.

  • the floor for being enthusiastic about this is voting for it, so your first assertion is flat wrong. that none voting third is too apathetic to care about other people. the saying has been floating around for a while about the 1/3 that wants to kill you while the other third watches.

every country has committed atrocities. inherited sin is stupid. we can acknowledge the errors and systemic issues of our forefathers and move passed them.
