  • FIX IT FIX IT NOW YOUR WEBSITE IS DOWN GOOGLE (NO IT'S NOT MY CONNECTION THE ISSUE IS YOU GOOGLE

I'm glad we don't see many of these over on Lemmy. Hate it when it's just demand, demand, demand.

  • Oh, I forgot one. If you actually need something a bit more like Photoshop, I can recommend Photopea as well. It's online but it runs locally and it has some ads on the side, but it beats getting an Adobe Cloud license.

    • HandBrake (video transcoder)
    • 7-zip (file archiver)
    • Paint.net (image editor)
    • VLC (media player)
    • Aseprite (sprite editor / pixel art, only free if you compile it yourself. Some might say it's worth the 20 bucks to pay for it)
  • It's a bad thing not because it's finite: your body makes hormones when it deems necessary. The issue is when you regularly have high levels of those hormones, it will cause effects like weight gain, fatigue and skin issues, to name a few.

Your heightened sense is a temporary mode at the cost of other functions of your body. Going back to your analogy, hormones influence things like a bunch of presets on your motherboard. Your body cranked up the CPU because you didn't have enough sleep, but this will cost you in other areas like your immune system.

Unlike a computer, we can't simply draw more energy from the wall to crank up the settings permanently. So these hormones/presets helps your body focus on what you need the most at that point, redistributing your available energy.

  • Your body is producing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline to make it through the day. These hormones help with alertness in general.

  • mm I like this, you made it sound so simple!

  • If you flip a sine wave upside down (shift it 180 degrees), it can mean "1." If the wave stays as it is, it can mean "0." This flipping happens really fast, creating a pattern of 1s and 0s. That's your data.

A special receiver then measures the wave's shifts and turns them back into the original 1s and 0s.

Instead of just flipping the wave or not, you can also shift it by smaller angles:

    • No shift (0°) = 00
    • Small shift (90°) = 01
    • Bigger shift (180°) = 10
    • Biggest shift (270°) = 11

This way, each wave can carry two bits of data instead of one, making it faster.

  • Wait, you do by install size? What's the best game in the range 20-23GB, about what I have left on my SSD?

  • But why would RB even listen to them? As if they care about how well the Mexico GP sells. They care about their team's performance.

Idk, this is one of those rumours where any bit of critical thinking points to it not being true. Not saying it's your fault or anything.

  • I have trouble believing that rumour, how would the FOM even find out before it's too late?

  • It's time for game publishers to think about in-game video as something beyond marketing alone," said Rhys Elliott, games analyst, MIDiA Research. ''By reclaiming video engagement, publishers have the potential to unlock new revenue streams, like advertising, and drive growth.''

  • Oh my, thank you! I did not know that existed!

  • No, the Republicans are the self proclaimed Law & Order party.

I love how pearls get clutched when a Dem does it. Where were you the last 8 years?

  • Yeah it was ridiculous. It was off the racing line but at the end part of a DRS straight, so there would be many drivers going off the line to overtake.

I thought the Norris penalty was a bit harsh. 10 seconds would be fine. Stop & go was extreme.

  • wii old

    Jump
  • I remember "ordering" those silicon Wii condoms (they were freely distributed as a measure of people breaking shit, hurting other family members, etc because people wouldn't use the wrist straps), and was so proud of getting away with ordering 4 while I only had 3 Wiimotes. I really thought I stuck it to the big company :p

  • Looking at the evidence, I don't think there's even a brain in there

  • Thank you, that is starting to make sense!

  • Dope style, nice puzzle element, wishlisted!

  • Older cats usually like to cuddle more to keep warm and/or feel safe and stable if they are having sensory issues (like going deaf or blind). I'm sure you don't mind the cuddling, but she will probably enjoy a heated pad at this age :)
