  • The theming engine isn't complete. It needs a slider where I can darken a color to set it as a background when I'm using the dark theme. Let's say I want to use red as the background color while on the dark theme, I can't just use those bright reds. Even the darkest one listed is still too bright. There should be a slider that darkens that red closer to black so it can be dim enough to be a background color while on dark theme. Second issue is now the theme doesn't reset at all. It looks like it's broken or something. I have the theme set to auto to follow the system. The text doesn't change when the theme switches from dark to light and vice versa. I always have to get in there and change the text manually. Otherwise, I'd end up with white text on a white background and a black text on a black background.

Another issue that is not related to theming is the notifications. Notifications bell doesn't show unless I click on a post. Or sometimes it shows when I'm in settings. It rarely shows when I'm scrolling through the feed. It's so weird and confusing honestly. Also, clicking on a notification doesn't always clear it, I'd still have the red number on the bell until I go in manually and set all notifications to "read". This is all I have so far. Not sure if y'all have a GitHub page or not (I looked and didn't find any). I'd love to help with reporting some issues there to make this app better. I have 5 apps installed and now it's a toss up between connect and voyager the web app. I use connect about 70% of the time, but I love love Voyager's notifications implementation, that's mostly why I use it. Their user profile set up is cool, too.

  • I really want to use one app for lemmy. I am so tired of using like 5 apps. Each one is missing something that the other has. Connect is getting there to be perfect. Still has major theming issues and notifications, too.

  • I think I get it now after it was explained by another person. When we call them "they", we are referring to their demons, not them particularly. Lol

  • The American plague is coming for them. I hope it doesn't and they don't adopt our shitty habits of fucking our citizens hard.

  • I mean, now that someone explained it, I don't agree with it, but I think it's funny.

  • Omg. Ooooh makes sense now 😂

  • Is that in tax returns or just straight up payment?

  • Galaxy Note 9 is like $200 on eBay. That phone rocks and has a headphone jack, too. I'd get the Korean model so you can root it and install a custom ROM so you can have an up to date system

  • I don't get it. :/

  • "I approve this message". Lol That was based.

  • Man, that shit required you to sit in front of your computer all day. It's abysmal that you can place one tile every 5 minutes is it? I placed one and noped the fuck out

  • But that's just a temporary number, though.

  • Who the fuck that thought "hey, we just made millions extremely mad, let's give them r/place now so they can tell us what they really feel"? 😂

  • Aaaah, is it the one who is a doctor, an engineer, a police officer, a firefighter, a teacher, a carpenter and everything else? Is that very talented dude?

  • Nope, that's why there is management. They take care of scheduling. Employees don't need to do management's job for them. I always call off at my job, never heard my manager tell me to find someone to cover my shift, they take care of it. This is a culture that restaurants made us think is ok, and it is not

  • You shouldn't even "find someone to cover your shift". That's the manager's job. If the manager is not the owner then a call to corporate is necessary. If they're the owner then fuck this place.

  • The freedom we have now may not be here in the near future. Your political views, your opinions that you have voiced online could be used to oppress you then. Also, another simpler reason, I don't want corporations to know my personal life just like how I don't want my neighbor to know it either. It is called personal, not public.

  • It was nice. There was no way to never show those NSFW account in the public feed. There wasn't even a button to block those accounts. I even checked my settings on the site and found nothing
