  • Not really. The more pictures that are available for a person, the fewer false positives there are, if you only have one face on photo that can be confidently linked to you, you would only ever be identified by that exact angle and feature set. It would be useless outside of applications that specifically request that (and even then it's really buggy, any Uber driver can attest to how shit facial recognition can be with limited info).

  • The thing is the tea party was the same as the Republican party. Both were nationalist ultra capitalists that believed money should buy power. Democrats are the same, really.

Any left wing thought, is entirely different from either of the major parties. There's not really a way to pacify it.

  • No it's about not allowing traitors to the Chinese people to gain power. You can have and express nearly any opinion in China, as long as you agree it should exist and it's people should flourish. If you post dissent that would harm the people or the state they control, you're penalized.

They solved the paradox of tolerance by enforcing a base level of morality, fall behind it and you're not really worth tolerating.

  • backwoods white Christian nationalists

These people do not exist in any numbers that matter. Get out of your echo chamber.

abortion? Gay marriage? Women's rights? Interracial marriage? Muslims Immigrants? Mexican immigrants? People not having a full grasp of the English language

This is the social aspect I was referring to, and for the record, most don't care either way. Because none of that effects them. They don't have the time or energy to care. Those are problems for rich people.

  • Those are the speculative houses xi is arguing against here. China doesn't have involuntary homeless, that's mainly why 'ghost' cities were built. Now the private housing market is fucked right now, and there's a good chance there will never be privately built homes again in China. But that has nothing to do with the housing supply, and does not affect homeownership or housing rates

  • As a communist in a redneck area, nearly the entirety of the redneck South are leftists. They don't think they are. They need some social theory that is happening slowly. But their core values are ripped straight from the manifesto, right down to beating their bosses ass for pulling some dumb shit.

You genuinely don't need to make concessions. You need to be honest, seem honest, and genuinely recognize the problems people have, not pretend they don't exist. Every single person I've talked to, and I do mean Trump supporting, flag bearing, lifted truck little shits, supports Medicare for all. They fully support free college and trade school. Hell a decent number support ubi, even for minorities. They don't support the words, the labels for those policies, because of propaganda and dem failures, but they fully support the policies if you explain them wholly without buzzwords. Hell I've helped convert a few to union men.

And I'm not lucky or in an abnormal area... Polls have repeated showed left wing policies( or at least as left wing as Sanders) are incredibly, ridiculously popular. Medicare for all, when you don't use that term, gets 70-80% approval in polls depending on how well it's explained in said poll.

You, like all neoliberal excuses, have no idea what the working class of America is like, which is amazing because statistically you're a part of it.

  • RCV just failed in a core blue state, Oregon. Dem leadership decided to run anti 117 ads, as well as repub leadership.

Voters demanded it, it was put on the ballot, and it failed because the average American votes with their party, their team, and both teams are against it.

  • The cost for my choice is the exact same as yours, and I think that's what makes you right wingers the most upset we didn't vote for female Reagan. You voted for genocide. You picked genocide. Willingly, happily. You made memes about how happy you were to vote for genocide. I didn't. The cost is the same but this is the outcome you wanted; a genocidal American state.

There is always a third choice, or more. And if everyone, or really just ~1/3rd of Americans, makes it, that choice is viable. But no. Again you chose to be genocidal instead of of making the tough choice.

  • If you magically generated enough funding, sure. But Mozilla made a deal with the devil to fund itself. Without a similar deal or nearly the entirety of the user base donating, whatever new org would be bound to fail; or at least wouldn't be able to perform all the same functions.

  • None of what you point out would be addressed under dem leadership.

Now to counter point, we do not have a whig party.

We've had first past the post the entire time.

We do not have a whig party.

We did. As one of the two options. Now we don't.

Voting third party works. Period. Every bit of propaganda you willingly repeat without thought is wrong, it was written by those that wanted to establish a uniparty duopoly. Stop doing their propaganda work for free.
