Is it moral to deny Medicaid to people who earned $5 too much? Because that's what we've been doing forever. The benefit cliff intencentivises people to stay in poverty.

We can't afford bigger burgers now anyway, the price of beef is insane. And when bigger burgers are desired, they'll sell "double quarter pounders". Not that Americans generally need bigger burgers anyway, but that's a different topic.

I haven't bought orange juice in over a year because the price almost tripled. I look at it longingly in the store sometimes though.

When it's cold AF you love turning on the oven. My family eats crazy pizza, but not in the summer. The take out places near me aren't great. Of course cold places love pizza!

Three or four patties do not make a big burger, in my opinion they begin at 8 stacked, or at least a kilo if it is a single patty. You're describing a regular snack of a burger. I want all of the fixins too.

Or eight. I have a large appetite. I'm only 10kg overweight. Honestly, a monster burger sounds pretty good too. I have eaten a few challenge burgers (and won) but the ones that are ten patties tall, you have to dismantle them to eat them. I support wider burgers. But every topping needs to be all across the thing or they are just serving lazy garbage.

I haven't watched that in decades, but maybe I will again soon.

I've had people I supervise act super annoyed when I talk to them twice in a day for like a minute because of this. You're not at home. I'm not your mom. I'm just doing my job by efficiently checking in on yours.

Weekly meal prep. Yeah it means repeated meals, but you can switch it up every week. It's the only way I get by. Plus I feed 5-6 people. So I'm not making one meal at a time, I'm making twenty or thirty.

The DNC is bought and paid for by oligarchs. Almost all of the richest US billionaires lean Democrat. Musk is an anomaly, and look how he's been targeted. I'm not saying it's entirely unmerited.

So of course the oligarchs want the working class disarmed. And they don't want populist candidates who want to improve people's lives and cut into profits which is why the Democrats haven't had a real primary in awhile.

The oligarchs also fund republicans hoping to control them the same way, but Trump got elected anyway. You might actually hate him 20% less if the bought corporate media hadn't been weaponized against him. A lot of his positions were Democrat positions twenty years ago. Hillary had some crazy "deport the illegals" quotes back in the day.

Ah, so they're going to go with the ol' "At least we're not Republicans" strategy. How about better wages? Medicare for all? Fucking stand for something, anything! I guess they do though: continued wars, wall street and neoliberalism.

This is mostly true, especially in communities like this. I do know a couple of guys who are the complete opposite politically - ultra conservative Christians. But when they need forum support and encounter this part of the community it just makes them stronger in their opinion that the world needs Jesus.

I have an Aldi but my wife and I have five jobs between us, a 20 year old still living at home and two teenagers who aren't driving yet. Sometimes we don't have time to cook. I still shop at Aldi tho!

Point taken! I was just trying to not completely disagree to be nice. I guess I didn't think it through. The US government is a beast that has tried to hide itself from the people with lies and propaganda for a long time. The info that came out about JFK's assassination recently gives a glimpse that it's been going on for a long time.

I'm not a fan of Trump, but neither is the deep state war & money machine. They're trying to stir up violence from the left to goad Trump into further eroding our right to protest and other rights. It's why they fund both parties and widen political rifts. They win no matter who wins any given election.
