I’d send them back. Looking at Amazon, they don’t have 4tb nvme that cheap. And putting aside potentially being mislabeled, would you really want to trust your data to “Generic”?

This would give better meaning to the various colors of sabers; as in the level of intensity…

Personally, people just need to learn to mind their own fucking business and stop trying to control what other people do, say, and feel. If it makes someone feel good and happy to love someone of the same sex, go for it.

Or as my granny used to say, paraphrased for modern times, “if you can’t say anything nice, then shut the ever-loving fuck up.”

As a single father who sometimes can’t for the life of me properly plan a meal, I find sometimes I have to run to the store in the middle of cooking for my kids. There’s also the fact that no matter where I am in my house, everybody can hear the oven timer. Basically, it’s not just on me to turn the oven off when time is up.

As for the preheat beep; I typically ignore preheating and just shove whatever in the oven and let it cook while it heats up.

And now that we’re talking about it, I actually don’t use my oven timer. I use my microwave timer. However, they are pretty much one and the same.

I’d say a beep for an oven is not unnecessary. Quite the opposite. The last thing you’d want to do is leave your food in the oven too long. Best case scenario it gets overcooked. Worst case: your house/apartment burns down. Yes, it’s annoying, but in this case, it’s worth it.

2. Yes, a lot of people like to humanize objects. It makes them fun and/or relatable. It’s not much different than seeing shapes in clouds.

Cute is a stimulus that causes a release of dopamine, which affects our emotions. It’s not uncommon for someone to simplify that by saying cute = emotion.

My fed ex people like to put my big/heavy packages right in front of my glass door that very obviously opens out and not in, which blocks my ability to open the door. 😡

I’ve lived in several different areas of my city, and even moved to a different county and lived in three different places in the new county. Unless I have beat the odds and gotten the same driver each time I’ve been unlucky to use fedex (usually not by choice), I’d lean more toward it’s a company problem and the drivers are merely a symptom (or victim).

Anecdotally, I’ve never heard horror stories about FedEx like I’ve heard about Amazon, and yet Amazon still does a decent job with deliveries; not perfect, but orders of magnitude better than FedEx. That tells me how much worse it must be to work at FedEx.

I cannot impress upon you all how much I loathe FedEx. I feel like they go out of their way to mess things up.

I’ve always blamed Adobe for the subscription mess, and that started in the early 00’s.
