I’ve come to the conclusion that everybody in Hollywood is out for money and fame, and that some are just very smart about keeping their opinions to themselves so as not to shatter the illusion of being good people.
I used to do that in junior high. It has a very sweet flavor, and gets you pretty fucked up.
I should also note that I now have breathing problems (asthma). Not to mention that with the 2A climate these days (USA), it’s probably not worth getting shot over when trying to steal people’s Freon.
An argument can be made that all actions people take are for their own self-interest. Even things like helping the community is done for reciprocal benefits for yourself plus the general increase in respect.
I believe if the act benefits someone else more than it benefits yourself, then that is what differentiates selfless from selfish.
I don’t usually feel one way or the other about other people’s upvotes/downvotes.
But I try to use my upvotes/downvotes as a barometer for how well something I posted or commented on was received by the community. If I’m being massively downvoted, I will try to consider what about my post or comment warranted the negative reaction, and I might reconsider what I said, or at least how I said it. If something is upvoted, it does give me the warm fuzzies knowing that other people agreed with, or enjoyed, my content.
Pro Tip for PayPal: in the (hopefully unlikely) event that PayPal sides with the seller, contact the BBB and complain.
I had an issue with a seller on eBay claiming they shipped me an iPad, but it was not to my address. It was considered delivered so both eBay and PayPal decided they wanted to wash their hands of my complaint and not honor their guarantees. This was in spite of the postmaster sending them a letter acknowledging that the package was not delivered to me. Once I filed a complaint with the BBB, PayPal was quick to resolve my issue with a refund.
gluten free bread is gross/they haven’t mastered that at all
Canyon Bakehouse has pretty decent bread, except the loaves grocery stores typically carry are woefully tiny. Like “for ants” tiny.
O’Doughs burger buns are decent, except two things:
They don’t slice all the way through the bun when precutting, and
They have poppy seeds on them
As for hotdog buns; well, all brand’s are shit and the people making them should feel really bad for the terrible job they’ve done. Seriously, they should feel nothing but shame.
