Be it WiFi or atomic, being able to automatically adjust the time (daylight savings) is more than “purely decorative”; at least to me. Until the PtB come to their senses and abolish DST, it’d be one less clock I’d have to adjust twice a year.
As for the rest of it, thank you. I mean that. I love knowing how things work and how they came to be.
Being gluten free is the equivalent of having a circadian rhythm sleep disorder; it’s manageable, but the rest of the world is built around wheat (and waking up early).
At this point, it’s probably wise not to count on the “in four years” idea that Trump will willingly step aside and allow someone else to be President. And even if we get lucky and he dies before that time, his successor is much younger and just as emboldened as Trump.
To paraphrase the old saying, “Hide yo kids, hide yo couch!”
They argued that ending Energy Star labeling would go against Trump’s stated goal of bringing down energy prices.
Haven’t they learned anything? Just because Trump says he wants to do something does not mean he’ll do it. Most especially anything beneficial to anybody but him and his entourage of cock suckers.
For the sake of argument, even if they didn’t know any better (shame on them for not knowing better), they could’ve easily recognized the problem and fixed it much sooner than 1995.
For me it’s real simple: I talk to my kids about drug use and its negative impact on their growing minds and bodies. Like any growing organism, they need good food, fresh air, plenty of water, and exercise. Smoking, drinking, and drugs do not provide any of that, and all I ask of them is to wait until they are older.
I was a Hornets fan back in the 90s, but I also lived in Charlotte, so it was a gimmie. I was pissed when Shinn not only moved them to New Orleans, but took the name with them. Hornet’s Nests are a symbol of Mecklenburg county history and we just let part of that heritage walk away with Shinn. I’m glad we finally got it back.
