  • Do your own maintenance, maybe get into modding them a bit. Definitely room for details.

Or track days. It's the little things that count when you're rocketing down a track at a buck sixty.

  • Too bad it's not based on either right now. Majority rule is far from perfect, but minority rule tends to be worse. Law exclusively based on logic and reason may be a noble goal, but the most dangerous and extreme ideologues believe their arguments to be perfectly reasonable. At some point someone has to decide what is logical. Who? And how are they selected?

Until we have good answers to these questions I'm in favor of democratic systems.

  • Afaik the least healthy part of that is the grain. Most breads, aside from a handful of micronutrients, are pretty close to empty calories. The killer with fast food is the soda and fries, usually.

  • What about protein? There's a whole other macro you can use to make up for calories with if you cut out carbs. Eating near exclusively protein probably isn't good for you, but you won't starve. From what I've seen there can even be a lot of advantages to eating a little more protein, especially if you're doing some strength training.

  • It doesn't. Encryption keys are not code and are not copyrightable. Distributing them is also not illegal. The word "proprietary" here is meaningless at best and dishonest at worst.

Of course actually using that key to circumvent drm may be illegal, but I'm no lawyer. Send like that would be on Dolphin's users anyway.

Food for thought: if Nintendo genuinely thought they had a good legal argument against Dolphin, why wouldn't they just send them a cease and desist directly instead of just getting them kicked off Steam?

  • Ehh, kinda. Like, it's been fairly obvious that eating plants is generally more efficient than eating something else that eats the plants. It's deceptively difficult to study scientifically, though. There can be massive differences depending on what exact plant-based foods and livestock you compare. If I'm understanding correctly (I'm no expert) this is one of the first academic studies that demonstrates this and has produced real numbers instead of rough estimates.

  • I suspect that most existing subscribers won't even notice that the price is increasing and will keep letting it charge them anyway. AOL still makes money this way.

And not everyone is as savvy to set up an ad blocker, especially on mobile.

As for value, that's always subjective. There are probably people who would argue that is more than worth their money. Not me though.

  • Good to see some solidarity. I wish it happened more. I'd have thought that the spread internet, allowing easy and covert communication, would have caused a proliferation in the number and efficacy of labor unions, but alas.
