  • A potential loophole: many rifle owners save money by pressing their own cartridges. The tools required are a bit pricey but not out of reach for the average person. You'd have to use some careful wording to ban home made bullets but not muzzleloaders.

  • I assume they're willing to take the loss to help preserve the political landscape that allows them to protect and grow their financial interests in other markets. They may not really care if the media outlets are profitable.

  • Well, if you were eating it with a fork anyway the I don't see the problem... A lot of Mexican places (as opposed to Tex Mex) will also pou salsa or queso or something over the burrito, which then obviously requires a fork, but it's also different from the burrito pictured.

And you know you can just ask them not to put any cilantro on? It's a garnish that typically isn't added until the very end and a lot of people can't stand the stuff, they probably won't mind leaving it off

  • Neither? The whole point of a burrito, at least one of these style of burrito that isn't swimming in some kind of sauce, is that it holds together well enough that you can eat it while holding it in your hand without making a mess. If it's poorly wrapped then yeah it'll come apart and you might want a plate and flatware to finish the job.

  • Endgame is a serious housing crash, I think. Or maybe some pretty draconian legislation on who is allowed to own residential property, how much, and for what purpose, i.e. serious regulations on landlords. Hopefully the latter.

  • Living in Georgia rn, I'm pretty confident the state won't be seriously attempting succession in the near future. The political will simply isn't there.

It's interesting that the fairly small group who want (or think they want) succession are forced to share a political party with the country's most nationalist. I suspect any serious attempt at it now would further divide the Republican party.

  • There's a guy who calls himself Vermin Supreme. He wears a boot on his head and iirc claims to be a libertarian. He runs for president every year and never comes even close to winning anywhere.

Edit: meant to say he runs for president every election. He obviously couldn't run every year.
