Using different cutlery based off of meal size/how long you want to savor something (ex: You like ice cream, so you may eat it with a smaller spoon so it lasts longer.).
I don't do this all the time, but definitely with desserts and sweets. Both from the perspective of being able to savor it longer, and also for portion control.
I read another comment suggesting their efforts would actually be better spent targeting purple or barely-red states, if the goal is to really hurt Trump's support. You can only realistically change the minds of a small percentage of MAGAs, then it makes sense to target the regions where that small percent translates to a flip in votes.
I'm not sure I totally buy the analysis, since all this tariff bullshit is as much about messaging and dick-waving as anything else, but there's probably a nugget of truth to it.
According to my mom, this is a good thing because he's helping regular people make money in the stock market.
The MAGAs are actually cheering this because they think they're being invited into the club, when he's just brushing some crumbs off the table for them to fight over in the alley.
Or we see feudalism, scrip, slavery, or some.combination thereof
Which, from my admittedly limited understanding, is pretty much the explicit vision of the tech billionaires like Peter Thiel who are backing Trump and his goons.
The tarrif is paid by the person or company doing the importing.
The tarrif is paid to the government of the country the goods are coming into.
So, say I am in the US, and I order $1000 worth of goods directly from a Chinese supplier. When those goods arrive in the US, I need to pay a tax (the tariff) to the US customs department in order to receive those goods. If the US has imposed a tariif of 34% on Chinese goods, I owe the US government $340 before I can receive my goods.
I dont think i have a single playlist set up, and almost exclusivly listen to albums cover to cover. All I really want is for a service to occasionally say "Hey you spent 60 hours last month listening to these 3 bands... check out these guys if you want something fresh with a similar vibe"
Spotify did a semi decent job of that, and it's how I've discovered a few new bands, but paying $18/mo just to discover a few per year is not a great value proposition. I'd rather torrent a random album and then pick up some merch or concert tickets if I end up liking them.
I have not personally got to the point of trying any yet, but I have heard several times about plugins for Jellyfin that add discoverability and recommendation features.
You still have the issue of actually tracking down the music, which Jellyseer or similar can help with. But if one of those plug-ins were to interface with Spotify or YouTube for preview purposes, that would be pretty slick!
I have a pair of "WTF" coffee mugs I got from them probably 15 years ago, and still use regularly. Amazingly, for being free promo items, they are still in virtually perfect condition!
Man that looks good! Looks super tender, but still slicable.
I have taken to smoking my corned beef brisket (which technically makes them pastrami I think), but some years I'll buy a second and do more traditional corned beef and cabbage.
Maybe its a bit of a spicy take... but honestly, I'd be okay with this being a death spiral for tesla. They played their role in getting EVs into the mainstream, now let their figurative head rot on a pike as a warning that letting a shithead nazi helm your company is an existential mistake, and not just a bump in the road.
No you're right, the hardlinks themselves are not directional. I just misunderstood the advice as meaning that Radarr would create a hardlinked file in my torrent folder, using the existing file in my media library. (It will not)
The part that was tripping me up was that it seemed like I had to manually add the movies to Radarr's library before it would let me import any of my torrent files. Otherwise it would give me an error saying the movie was unknown.
I think I'm starting to get the hang of it though.
I've been going cross-eyed staring at the Trash guides and Servarr wiki trying to get hardlinks and all the file paths working correctly (stupid simple fix in the end), so a little nudge in the right direction is appreciated.
