  • Can you provide any more details on what is not working and what might have changed since things stopped working? There is not a lot of info to go on.

I've been running Klipper on a Raspberry pi with an Ender 3 S1 Pro for about 8 months with virtually zero hiccups, but I'd hardly claim to be an expert.

  • Sorry, the fact you're being downvoted for this is kinda funny.

As a generally left-leaning person, lemmy absolutely has a leftist demographic, and most politics-related threads are full of upvoted low effort hot takes, while relevant but unpopular opinions tend to get downvoted.

But, then again social media is gonna social media...

  • Good point, and worth keeping in mind! At the same time, the generics are often so much cheaper it's worth a try. I take Claratin daily for allergies and the Costco version is literally 10% the cost of name brand. It's astounding how much of a markup basic OTC drugs can have.

  • God... I can barely remember the time before the top comment threads of every goddamned post were always lazy strings of circle-jerky jokes that you could predict before even clicking into the thread.

  • Favorite so far was probably a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protégé. They were kinda anemic for a 2.0t car out of the box, but I had built the engine a bit and goosed it to around 225whp. It wasn't the fastest thing around, but it had a raw mechanical feel that was a hoot to drive and toss around corners, especially after adding some stickier rubber.

I've got a NB Miata in the garage right now, but man it's just missing about 75whp to match the smiles per hour factor.

  • Human brains are literal pattern-recognition and classifying machines. It's what they have evolved for millions of years to do. We're hard wired to observe nature, detect patterns, and classify things based on those patterns to help focus on new info and not be overwhelmed by the world.

Gender is just a shorthand that we've developed for classifying people into groups, based on key commonalities about how most of us tend to look and behave.

It's like the names we give to colors. We can all name a handful of main colors off the top of our head, and we've even named a few as "primary" colors because of how they interact together. But someone would have to be an absolute fucking moron to insist that primary colors are the only "real" colors, just because the idea of primary colors has some basis in color theory.

  • You have a point about how silly it is to scrimp on ethernet ports in new construction/remodels--wifi with a wired backhaul is unquestionably preferable to pure mesh.

But to say "wifi has nothing other than mobility" is purely asinine. It's like saying that planes offer nothing over cars except the ability to travel faster--yeah... that's kinda the point! Compared to the number of networked devices in the average home, there are very few current or near-future devices that could leverage even a gigabit connection fully, let alone justify a dedicated wired connection.

Streaming video needs a few 10s of Mbits tops, security cams are similar, streaming audio needs a fraction of that, your smart home devices & hubs are negligible, mobile phones and tablets downloading 100MB apps barely even blink at current wifi speeds. Even the average WFH-er is going to saturate their company's VPN before their wifi connection struggle.

Is an ethernet connection technically better in some of those cases? Sure, but the vast majority of people would notice no functional difference aside from having to plug in a second cable.

  • It looks like it's happening at about the area of steepest overhang and while going around a corner. Is it possible the bead of filament is not grabbing onto the previous layer and dragging/sagging?

Maybe try slowing down the print speed a bit and/or increasing fan speed.

  • I'm glad my dexcom app has a persistent notification. I can check my blood sugar and rate of change with a quick swipe down rather than launching the app

Or maybe I misunderstood what OP is talking about

  • I feel like I missed a ton of details on my first watchthrough, but still enjoyed it a ton.

I'm curious if anyone has given it a second go, and if it added or removed from the experience?
