  • The keyword is consistent. Some settings have magic as inherently chaotic and difficult to control.

A good rule of thumb is that if a fantasy setting has a school for magic, it's probably a science. If it's knowledge passed from master to magically gifted student, it's probably not very consistent.

  • Not that I would be surprised for even a minute that MTG is the kinda racist who would use the N-word to a professional colleague, but shouldn't they have brought it up at the time it was said? Holding onto that knowledge to use it as retaliation is also incredibly scummy.

I guess trying to hold anyone in the Republican party to any standard of decency is just a pointless exercise, so let's just be glad they're busy fighting each other right now.

  • This isn't an idea, or even a promise. Trump thinks that there currently exists a faucet that could divert the Columbia River, a river he does not know exists and would probably think is in Mexico somehow, and that the faucet is purposefully moving water to the ocean as a way to spite the residents of California going through a water crisis. His only promise is that he would turn said faucet to eliminate the water crisis. Why are journalists ascribing so much intelligence to someone who has consistently bragged that he thinks at an 8-year old level?

  • A vote for a third party is a completely wasted vote, so most assume that anyone actively encouraging people to waste their vote are doing it as a spoiler to have Trump win.

I think these people forget that almost all votes in the U.S. system are completely wasted, so if you already live in one of those many areas you can absolutely make a protest vote for your conscience.

  • It's only what a plurality of what Americans want because a plurality of Americans is a collection of easily misled idiots. The fact that Democratic leadership decided to also run with the complete falsehood of "Migrant Crime" and feeling like we need to lock down the border is absolutely appalling. The correct thing to do would be to deconstruct this myth of violent immigrants, and campaign on expanding immigration judge positions to move through our backlog of cases quicker. Instead they amplified false propoganda that the Republicans made up.

  • It remains so absurd to me that so many Americans just accept that their political party is afraid of facts. That verifiable truth is a terrifying "agenda." You cannot convince me that anything would disqualify the Republican party in these people's minds, because denying reality itself is already a bridge too far for any rational mind.

  • Israel invited those rockets to be launched in retaliation for their terror campaign in Lebanon. If they didn't want to get fired back, they probably shouldn't have distributed hundreds of bombs and detonated them in civilian areas.

  • Comparing Trump to Chamberlain is a pretty big disservice to Chamberlain. History at least shows that Chamberlain was correct about Britain's ability to combat German aggression, and his appeasement bought Britain the time to properly arm and ready themselves for war.

Trump's just a sniveling sycophant who wants to give Daddy Putin everything he wants because he hopes Putin will be proud of him and treat him as a big man.

  • Neither Hezbollah or Hamas will agree to a ceasefire that doesn't offer them protection from future Israel aggression, and Israel will never offer future protection because Bibi wants blood.

Either the U.S. has to cut support of Israel or the Israeli public need to stand-up and demand a dramatic change of their government.

  • Once again, the GOP demonstrates that they have no other tactic than baseless projection. "Well our guy talked about undermining the U.S. elections when Zelenskyy visited, obviously the Democrats must have done so as well! There's absolutely no other reason the U.S. would host the president of Ukraine!"

  • Republicans Have A Nazi Problem

  • I mean, the real problem is that we gladly welcomed Nazis into the U.S. as soon as the war was over, and that our country as a whole never fully disagreed with their ideology or their methods. The U.S. loves to claim that they got involved in WW2 due to ideological reasons, but it's pretty clearly untrue considering our treatment of black soldiers and Japanese-Americans of the time.

  • Not too surprising, I imagine removing the PSN login was real close to just cracking the game entirely. Honestly not sure why people would buy the game and then use a third party tool to bypass the PSN requirement as opposed to just pirating the game to begin with.

  • To piggyback off this though, there are areas where the infrastructure would make sense, like long distance shipping trucks and busses that have pretty well defined areas that they could regularly dock and refuel at, and those are the exact situations where electric is struggling the most.

All to say, the research into hydrogen powered vehicles isn't useless, even if it's not going to offer anything at the consumer level.
