Just accept that it's wiggy at first. You're being dragged along on a very high level heist with experienced professionals in their field, and your primary pov is a drug-addled hacker who struggles to differentiate meatspace from cyberspace. They're not going to stop and explain anything, but you'll understand the vibes.
If you're still hot for it afterwards, give it another read. A lot more makes sense once you have an understanding of the bigger picture.
I'd like to see them fuckin try. The Republicans keep calling these liberal cities warzones, I know Chicago and New York would be happy to bare their teeth and show just how accurate that moniker can sometimes be.
I think Dragon's Dogma 2 is great for newcomers to the series, but I can understand if a fan of the original was disappointed that it's basically just the first game again.
None of that's new though. The U.S. elections have been purely vibe-based for a few decades now. The policy platforms of a given candidate stopped mattering as soon as the electorate forgot how to read.
It would suck for the rubes who can be fooled into taking poison, but it would be kinda based if RFK just legalized everything. Reality might turn to shit, but at least we can get high however we want!
I don't think anyone is worried about there being too many old people for young people to look after. I believe you're confusing that for the very serious issue, being that there won't be enough young people financially supporting social services to adequately fund them to meet the needs of the aging population. In that sense, AI automating jobs directly exacerbates the problem, because less young people working means less taxes funding things like social security and Medicare in the US.
The problem is that China absolutely lied, obfuscated data, and generally did whatever it took to make it look like their COVID response was better than reality.
It is very, very, very likely that the COVID-19 virus originated in China, and it is also quite likely that Americans were infected with coronavirus before January 2020. Both of these things can be true without needing to resort to conspiracy.
Marjorie Taylor Dumbfuck here doesn't realize that her state, and in fact all Republican-led states, are solely dependent on blue state generosity in order to continue to exist. I'm sure the blue states would absolutely love for these freeloading welfare states to leave the union, because it would offer an immediate federal surplus that could be better allocated on themselves. It will never happen, because the smart conservatives love having a never-ending money faucet they can gargle when their economic plans fail due to their own ineptitude.
If the goal is to remove and replace all party leadership, non-compliant party members, and administrative staff, why not just make a new party? Are you just really attached to the name on your ship of Theseus?
We're all subhuman because humanity is a myth we invented for ourselves. We're still just dumb fucking apes, slinging our shit at apes that look different and mimicking the apes we think look like us. As a species we won't grow or reflect upon anything. We're just trying to filter out our civilization.
