"Images of 'Saint Luigi Mangione, The patron saint of health care justice' have been making rounds on social media"
What's up with these fantasy numbers? You do realize, that there is a maximum time people can spend in prison, because they will die at some point?
Yes, this is how I read it as well. The library would support to use a local model, but they decided to just send the audio data to Google.
There is nothing special going on. This whole project is just a bunch of python libraries coupled together to a cli tool. It uses the package SpeechRecognition to connect to the google speech recognition api: https://github.com/microsoft/markitdown/blob/main/src/markitdown/_markitdown.py#L691Pretty uninteresting and a bit disappointing. Pandoc is a lot more interesting.
I like libreoffice, but converting audio files to markdown must be a pretty recent feature, for I never heard of it before being part of libreoffice.
The tool looks interesting, but the website is horrible. Some of the colors make the text hard to read.Download links do nothing without JavaScript. When I enable JavaScript and try to scroll up on my smartphone, I refresh the page instead, because scrolling is intercepted by JavaScript.
Fun fact: ibotenic acid is a muscimol prodrug and rather toxic for humans. You can filter the mushrooms through reindeer and drink their piss to get more muscimol than ibotenic acid.
Are there any more images? This one looks pretty good, but the title promised me multiple images.
