  • A small mat under their food and water (kept separate due to other instinct cats have) is an easy way to keep things cleaner.

  • For dry food, if you put it in small (4-5cm dia.) cups they WILL reach in to grab the kibble and will eat one at a time.

This is a great way to de-chonk.

  • And on which timeline? Nuclear power has come a LONG way since 3MI, let alone Chernobyl.

One human has died from failures of a modern nuclear plant in the last 15 years.

I don't know the stats, but it's quite likely that a non-zero number techs have died servicing and installing the wind facilities.

In which case, they're about even - or wind is worse. But in the grand scheme, it's a non issue either way.

  • Your premise is specious

There were two major catastrophes that killed thousands, first in Chernobyl and then in Fukushima.

    1. Chernobyl was a flawed test which deliberately ignored documented safety protocols on an RBMK-1000 high-power channel-type reactor. There are still 10 chernobyl-style reactors operating across russia, but the test method is the primary cause of that disaster.
    2. Precisely ONE of those 15,000 people killed in Fukushima and neighboring areas were due to destruction of the reactors at Fukushima. Here's more information.
  • Eh... There's several bots that are ripping content from that site with seemingly good intent in the interest of "populating the fediverse."

It's more spammy than anything else, and I don't really want this place to become a bot infested hellscape like the place I left.

  • You're /u/fuckswithducks and you'll never convince me otherwise!

  • Just saying that you can still use that other site without them seeing a dime

Google your problem. Get the url.

teddit.net/r/(insert after /r/ in reddit link)

There are also scripts and Firefox extensions you can install that automatically do it for you.

  • It's about the same as a mafia hitman screeching in court after a guilty verdict that he wants the written receipts, and murder weapons that were found in the garbage on the curb in front of his home (and used to convict him) back.

    ThAt'S mY pRoPeRtY!

    1. Profit (yes, he will profit anyway 🤷)

When? Last I checked, he's still down about 92 billion dollars.
Elmo's Twitter fiasco is legitimately dumber than Trump running not one, but THREE casinos to bankruptcy.

  • Not that this isnt a major national issu, but I briefly worked with an ex-cop from Sacramento. Decent guy.

The stories he told at the tail-end of happy hour were enough to turn your hair white.

He didn't quit that job. He fled in abject horror.

  • In his case, he's been a turd in society's punchbowl for 50 years.

There's mountains of court records, poor business decisions, and proven malfeasance... and that's not counting two impeachments.

No accounting for taste, I suppose.

  • Preface: I have no opinion. Have not installed, and will not install because I don't need it.

If you have to ask, it's probably worth investigating further.

The first thing I would do is search around for any mention of the app name and variants on the word "password".

Never install anything that you don't trust, and dissociate from your "real" email/identity for those that you aren't sure about. Whoever owns the software potentially owns your credentials.

  • 2013 was a terrible year for media consumption.

Google killed the only thing about Google that I had any sort of true feelings for. It was exactly what I wanted in a feed reader. It almost killed my affinity to read the news during my commutes.

It was the same year that The Onion stopped printing paper copies, too.

It was also the year The Hangover 3 was released at the request of nobody, but I digress.

    RIP Google Reader.

  • AOL chatbot that did basic stuff.

    Here you go.

If you ask Siri, "Do you sleep?" Siri will respond, "I don't need much sleep, but it's nice of you to ask." Meanwhile, if you asked SmarterChild the same question, he would respond, "No, but I dream. I dream of a better world. A world where man and machine can coexist in peace and happiness."
