Exactly right. He should have been more compelling with his peers over the dangers of a shutdown. The dissent just gave people the impression of weakness.

Exactly why I make comments about accomplishments of Democrats. I point out their accomplishments because they don’t do it for themselves. I only like them more than Republicans. There’s plenty to criticize, but that’s taken care of by the masses.

Sure, idealism is great, but none of that will happen by November 2026. I’m suggesting we use the system that is already available to us before condemning its efficacy. Why is that sentiment worthy of contest?

I agree with both age and term limits. My comment was meant to illustrate the hypocrisy in people complaining about the lack of efficacy of a system that they don’t even use.

It would have resulted in a mass termination of non-essential government workers that they would’ve blamed squarely on the Democrats. There was no clean way out of it.

We directly elect Congress. My point was poor primary turnout results in more of the same. Your argument is pointless criticism. Throw your hands up in disgust somewhere else.

All of the appointments with the exception of Rubio were split 50 Republican/50 Democrat with Vance as the tie breaker. Look them up for yourself.

I’m with you on the rest. I’m just saying they’re actively trying to stop Trump. We need to primary out the deadwood centrists in favor of progressives that will actually fight for the working class.

Thanks! That was a well written breakdown for sure. The irony is I really dislike Schumer. Everyone else dropped out of the primary, so he was mo only option. I’m even less fond of defending a moderate standpoint, but I’ll advocate for fact over opinion, and this was simply not the leverage people make it out to be.
