That’s completely true, but he didn’t create an Anti-Protestant Bias Coalition to protect Protestants from persecution. If he’s championing Christianity, so he should respect all of its sects.

You and I both know he’s full of shit, and just doing this to tighten his grip on the Bible Belt. All the more reason I feel compelled to call out his hypocrisy when it’s visible.

You think this is a message to Republicans in Congress? Just like his 25 hour speech, this is a message to the citizens who aren’t paying attention, regardless of party affiliation.

You do understand that Democrats have minority, right? The Democrats forced multiple 15-day votes that went nowhere. Al Green introduced articles of impeachment that will not get anywhere. What else do you expect them to do while in minority?

Anarchy is not left in the US unless they’ve all of a sudden come around on social programs.

Right, but I’m saying the benefit is the same. They wouldn’t be able to effectively stop the Republicans from voting by force. It would only increase awareness around the protest of the social programs cuts, just like this sit-in.

He spoke like an honest and unpolished person. He read countless letters of concern from his constituents regarding this administration, told relevant personal anecdotes of his father’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, and focused heavily on America’s previous challenges and triumphs over oppression while drawing similarities to the current state of our nation. It was actually quite moving.

They could go on strike, but I’m absolutely certain they’d be arrested if they blocked the entrances to the Capitol building. It would only generate awareness, just like this sit-in.

I’m more getting at tipped worker vs fair wages for servers. The minimum wage in the US is $7.25/hr, but tipped worker minimum wage is $2.13/hr. States that have shifted to fair wages now must pay their workers standard minimum wage. Most eateries in those states have increased their prices 15-20%, and inform customers that the gratuity is now included in the meal price. It’s no different on your wallet, but could account for some of the increase in price point depending on the location of the establishment.

Catholicism is a sect of Christianity, just like Protestantism, and Eastern Orthodoxy. If he’s going after people who disrespect Christianity, he should show respect for it himself.
