  • Support groups and group therapy. Identifying with someone else’s experiences through your own relatable experiences is a reaffirming connection.

It’s helped me a lot navigating the Autistic tendency to get lost in the mechanics of the story. Now I try to end my contribution with reconnection to the original experience, emphasizing the validation, and returning control of the conversation.

  • True. It was also an extremely commercialized capitalist dystopian future. I doubt Linux was being used, and there’s no way Microsoft could create something with WALL-E’s long uptime and low maintenance.

  • They’re still to be followed until ruled unconstitutional by a federal court or overturned by Congress. The Republicans in Congress are complicit, but federal courts have already stopped Trump over 200 times since his term began. https://archive.is/zZ9zU

  • You misunderstand. Our problem is our woefully uneducated population is inundated with misinformation on how our system works and propaganda to keep them too afraid to learn.

In case my metaphor was too elusive for you, I was referring to Jill Stein. She only shows up as a spoiler candidate every four years, never runs for any other government office, and has a long history of meetings and dinners with Putin.

  • Maybe you’re not. Try going to protests. Talk to people in person. Leave your echo chamber and share information with those that are unaware. Small resistances get incarcerated, deported, or exterminated. See: Nazi Germany

  • What else do you propose with 5M people out of a nation of 340M?

The signs on sticks are meant to engage the disengaged. The goal is to increase our numbers, not feed our small resistance to prisons and give Trump a reason to enact the Insurrection Act.

  • Absolutely correct. Many are quick to criticize the method of resistance as the problem when they’re completely missing the point that a national response of 5M out of a nation of 340M will change nothing.

We need to engage the disengaged, not fight over the content of the protest.

  • You absolutely should criticize Netanyahu. You should also try working on your reading comprehension. I’m critical of the people who railed on Biden on every Israel post last year that don’t say shit about Trump this year. Just a bunch of one-sided shit stirrers that act like liberals are worse than far-right fascists.

  • Most of them are the same Putin shills that throw wedges between leftists/progressives/liberals with the goal of destabilizing the US. GeNoCiDe JoE every Israel post in 2024, but not a peep about Trump’s billionaire resort plans for the West Bank. Now it’s back to criticizing Netanyahu, not the guy who upgraded him to 10-ton bombs.

  • Of course. The problem you’re not willing to accept is there was no way to vote that would effectively stop the US from providing Israel with aid. You wasted your chance to stop fascism and minimize the horrors in Palestine so you could say you’re morally superior, and now the West Bank is being turned into a billionaire resort while the US descends into fascism. Great job. I’m sure the Palestinians appreciate your idealism at their expense.
