  • I wouldn't necessarily call these "problems". I just don't like the how the underlying functionality is designed.

For some basic modding, and installing Nexus collections, it's probably just fine, but for anything more advanced, It's too rigid. It didn't allow me the flexibility to do the things I wanted, and lacked plugin support for things I was already extensively using. My preference still lies with MO2, but of course, everyone is welcome to use the tools that work for them

  • I feel like it’s just a matter of time, until they pull the rug from under lifetime subs.

But in any case, this is probably it for me. I’m not completely happy with jellyfin performance on my server, but the price hike puts me outside of what i’m willing to spend for this service. I already host it myself, and i can tunnel it myself too, if i ever decide to run it outside of my home network

  • My GearS3 finally kicked it, after 8 years, and my other watch is even older than that, so the more premium rePebble is actually quite appealing. If i decide to get an update, i'm still debating looking at something like the Garmin Vivoactive though

  • My only hope that they'll get it right this time around. NMM was a disaster all around. With the Vortex announcement, hopes went up, given that they literally hired the person who created Mod Organizer, but then it was essentially NMM round 2, with an electron shell. This looks somewhat promising, at least

  • Stuff like this should be studied in some kind of a medical facility. How do people flip their entire worldview overnight, and become colossal bigots, with the most aggressive and violent thought processes?

  • Are these the same "completely unattended" Amazon locations, which turned out to have thousands of what essentially were middle-eastern slaves operating the shops remotely?

  • They have no incentive to fight the voice assistant war anymore. That decisively ended in the late 2010's with no winner, because they moved onto the next buzzword technology by then. At this point, GA is just on life support, and will continue being a piece of garbage, as they remove more features from it, under the notion that the userbase is not large enough.

  • Potentially stupid question: Granted that we have such good vision for planets an incomprehensible distance away from us, why wouldn’t we be able to detect, with certainty, if this planet is actually present in our system? I’m guessing it would take longer to orbit around the sun, than Pluto’s 247 years, but it’d still be detectable because of the distance away from us
