  • That's a loaded list. I'm very excited about the changes to plugins. Those have always felt a little unfinished, and specifically when it came to controller bindings, it was a pain in the ass. The usage of SDL should improve that massively

  • Valve is in a very unique position here. They're clearly not making very much money on the Deck itself, and that's okay, because they both got an endless library of games behind them, and on top of that, they're actively putting money back into the ecosystem of developers, to further utilize what people already have. Historically, that's never been the case with any console, let alone a handheld, because every one of them either had bespoke architecture, or only ran software that was specifically designed for that machine

  • Well, it ended up a pretty solid console, after all. It's only real downside is the horrible performance. When the Switch "2" comes out, my only wish for it is to not have a SoC that's already a year outdated, at the time of release

  • I used to really enjoy Kings Coast. Great value for the money, solid quality, and the way they roast coffee makes the beans have excellent subtle flavor notes, which I really appreciated.

Unfortunately if you're not in the US or Canada, you're out of luck, because in 2021 they stopped shipping internationally completely

  • Out of everything i play, the only game holding me back is Destiny 2, which was explicitly refused support for.

Everything else works phenomenally well, and in some rare cases, performs a lot better.

The only struggle point is heavily modded games with tools that assume i’m doing this on windows, but times are changing too

  • Well, we won't know until people try this out, and make modifications to what's needed, but the creator himself says that this mod is essentially pointless, as no homebrew uses this much ram, and most definitely no games do. This is a really awesome proof of concept though

  • I'll be real with y'all, a 50$ 4 hour tech demo just doesn't appeal to me, especially in a world where the indie market is absolutely booming with phenomenal titles.

Sure, the first one was nice, but I never felt like I was so impressed by it, that i'd do it again.

  • I always find it interesting, when people claim they don't like Arch, because it breaks, supposedly.

Out of genuine curiosity, what did you find, that kept breaking, that wasn't user error, and wasn't easily reparable?
