  • Start weightlifting, more specifically deadlifts. I would discourage you to go to CrossFit and anything that involves mixing cardio with strength.

Also, use as little machines as possible. 99% of the work is with dumbbells, barbells and a rack

/me that had back pain in his late 20-mid 30… and then started weightlifting and had never had a back pain 🙂

  • I used to check all boxes. I feel I don’t check any box now (even if I should probably do therapy for minor stuff here and there).

I also try to give back and talk with my friends or even strangers. Still it’s astonishing how many people live in denial and refuse any change in their behaviour.

  • Research needs money for happening. You need to pay researchers, structures, various staff. Even more so a fancy structure as MIT

Israel (and American Zionists) have the power to cancel a sizeable amount of research contracts with MIT. (AIPAC shows how well organised they are, originally for defence from antisemitism, now for defence from… Palestine? I guess? 🤷‍♂️ )

Then for MIT (that is a corporation like another) comes to damage control. On one hand PR, on the other money.

MIT took the money, Stanford (in the case of DEI) took the PR.

I am still 100% sure neither of the two can give a damn of Palestinians, Israel or DEI. It’s just MBA stuff 🤷‍♂️

(I have my opinions on the situation in Palestine but I don’t want this post to be about that)

  • I have a lifetime Plex pass but still I am considering switching. Currently I have both Jellyfin and Plex on the same libraries but Jellyfin doesn’t have support for chromecast (on iOS and Firefox) nor support for offline . (Not) covering neither my at home nor travelling use cases 😕

  • And my crazy cousin claims that the earth is flat (not really but got the point)

What is the point of this headline beyond spreading outrage? (That is good for traffic I guess)

This kind of articles both left and right are just causing communities to fall apart for no good reason.

If this was said from public figures that would have been different. But a doctor can be crazy, it’s his right.

It’s not his right to get this much attention though

  • As a tall man grown up in an area with predominantly short people, I can tell you, as teenager, I desired countless times of being less tall.

I dated tall women (>185cm) from US and Europe. They fucking hate it.

I seriously doubt they were bragging in this message

  • If you like football and your best friend doesn’t like football, what do you do? You beg your best friend to play football… but if they really don’t like football or it is just a “once in a while thing” what you do? Probably find another friend or group of friends that like football. Your best friend likely stays your best friend but now you are happy, your best friend is not annoyed by you asking playing football and you have new friends

Of course you don’t hide or lie to your best friend on what you do and when… otherwise they would be (rightfully) upset but if you share and they are mad that you want to have new friends it’s on them to be unreasonable.

Well here Ethical non monogamy in a nutshell in a context where it is socially acceptable 🤷‍♂️
