  • They didn't provide proof of that allegation. At least, not in this article. The consumer group alleges that Starbucks claims unused gift card balances as revenue. Are we sure they aren't showing a liability for the respective amount? I didn't look through their corporate filings, and the article doesn't provide citations from public filings. Just accusations.

  • Apple has made record profits of $X billion dollars this quarter. However, that is only $3 billion more than last year same quarter.

You're right, Greg. One has to wonder: will Apple be bankrupt next year?

  • Calm down, Thanos.

No but seriously, I know that for me, what gets me incredibly annoyed when this topic comes up, is the absolutists that rail on anyone wanting any children. Like, I get it man, you don't want kids. But that doesn't mean I'm wrong for wanting kids.

These people get very high and mighty on their claim that those of us that want children are selfish for "bringing them into a dying planet".

You're framing it in such a way to say "hey, maybe let's slow down population growth". They're saying "we need to never have children again".

One of those scenarios leads to the end of human civilization. If that's your goal, you have bigger psychological issues than you realize. (Not you; the general you)

  • Don't feel bad. Plex is working wonders for me. Yea, there are things that annoy me about it, like the volume issues. But all in all, it passes the "wife test".

99.9% of the people here who trip over themselves to shit on Plex and recommend any other service that requires IT knowledge to consistently and easily give access to family members, don't have to deal with the "wife test". Substitute "wife" with husband or mom, or grandma.
