Now that I’m able to cover my expenses and have some savings, I’m fairly comfortable, and the desire to make more money has faded away. There’s a lot of things I prioritize over more money.
The book they were referring to was written over 30 years ago. Of course they don’t exist anymore at that price, but I think the overall point still stands, if all you can afford is the lowest quality boots, you’ll end up paying more in the long run than if you could afford to buy better quality boots that can be repaired.
I do agree with you on that, it’s a very meaningful song for me, and I do believe that Cyndi very well may have had her sister in mind when she recorded it.
Perhaps watch one of their numerous huge rallies or speeches where they outline exactly what they are running on. Two screenshots you took of a website are meaningless.
Same here. If something is on fire it’s fun to deal with and easy to hyper focus on till it’s resolved. If it’s repetitive everyday kind of stuff, ughhhh.
Our happiness relies on being able to accept the limitations we have. If others can’t accept them that’s on them. And honestly it’s not that big a deal. I am successful and have been in the same profession for over 20 years. Everyone I work with knows about it and works with me. I also work around their limitations. That’s just part of being on a team.
There’s also a big difference between “I’ll never be on time” and “there will be times I’m late because I have adhd”. But seriously if someone can’t handle my adhd symptoms I don’t expect them to, but they should also not expect me to care that they can’t deal with them. Because I don’t.
