  • Same here. When idle, the apps basically consume nothing. If they are just a webserver that calls to some PHP script, it basically takes no RAM at all when idle, and some RAM when actually used.

    Websites and phone apps are such an unoptimized pieces if garbage that they are the sole reason for high RAM requirements. Also lots of background bloatware.

  • Just a shot in the dark, but are there any apparent problems with capping the rent at like half the mortgage? Or like 80%? Then there would be financial incentive to keep the tenant happy, to keep working, and keep the property in working order.

    Of course, this does not take into account properties without mortgage, or properties where the housing was paid in part with liquid cash.

  • Disagree. Computer literally does not mean to learn where exactly to click, but to learn how to navigate the computer and what does what mean. Every UI is different, every app behaves differently, and most of the time you won't land on the same screen.

    It is not about "turn the wheel left to go left" hard-coded truth. Sometimes you wanna go left, you have to turn right, accept ToS, and select a file to open.
