  • Yeah it all falls under the same umbrella really.

It could be done smartly by experts with actual input from the people that have been begging for improvements and complaining about redundant policies and antiquated systems for decades. But no... lets use expensive external "experts" who understand nothing and will make more problems than they solve and cost more while they do it.

  • I mean, I'm sure that theres fat, red tape and inefficiencies in every government department and program that could be cut without issue... DOGE was just probably the absolute worst way to go about it.

So many of the things that Trump does are "I'm going to do something that on the surface is a great idea, in a completely ass backwards way that makes it worse than doing nothing"

Check out this guy. Now full transparency I've never checked his stuff out, but people who know far more than I do say he is legit and I know a few people who have used his videos to work through injuries and improve their range of motion and it worked.

Theres also some "Performance enhancing compounds" that can supposedly improve longevity and recovery that can help with joint issues but thats a whole rabbit hole and the research just isnt definitive, I've dabbled and I feel like they worked and know stuff but I'm not trying to advertise for that sort of thing.

Dr Mike Isratel is a Dr of exercise science and doesnt chat shit. They make their money pretty transparently, and give honest to god research backed information. Lots of information that can be extracted from Beginners to Advanced and he loves a good dick joke enough for all of his content to feel fun.

  • Ha! I'm already doing this. I have an account on a t-shirt vendor site where I upload some low effort anti-capitalism design every week. I dont make much money but I giggle my balls off that people buy it. Like a Che Guevara t-shirt from Hot Topic in the 90s... Some people just dont get irony.

  • This has always been my counterpoint for the Nintendo haters when they complain about price. (Although they are a shit company in several other ways) Because when my daughter wants a new switch game if its a top tier Nintendo title its going to be a finished game with zero bugs and zero concern about problematic content for me.

  • Ive defended the dude before, and before I do let me make it clear I think his personality is "Annoying egomaniac hypebeast douche" but I do respect his hustle from a business perspective.

He is actually a really good producer and I dont mean in terms of actually mixing and producing the music himself, he is more like a movie producer, he has connections, money and a good ear for talent. He buys a beat, calls some people he thinks would be good for the track or would be good on a track together, pays them to do their verses, pays someone to mix it into a complete track and puts it out. The man was Mr Miami when Miami was blowing up, Pitbull was still "Mr 305", he made flashy obnoxious mainstream rap when everyone was wearing Ed Hardy jeans and Marc Ecko watches... right place, right time and he shot his shot.

I mean the man was the child of palestinian immigrantsand not cashed up ones and is now worth an estimated 70 million having created his own dream job. Have a look at his award nominations on his wikipedia... he is an enormous tool, but he isnt untalented.

  • Its really not their fault. Most organisations hold their staff to either brutal efficiency targets or have them on a contract basis getting paid per parcel. I'm VERY LUCKY in that my organisations key metric is "successful deliveries/attempts without complaint" and right behind it is number of parcels delivered per hr. They like a guy who does 20 an hour and 100% success way more than a 30 an hr and 95% success. My bosses love me because I know I'm hourly and I just DO MY JOB. Last time I checked I'm at 99.9%.

It is partially the customers fault. People LOVE the idea of next day free delivery, their parcel being treated with loving care, their delivery instructions being followed to the letter and delivered by someone who takes pride in their job, it drives a lot of business... but its FREE, you think they dont cut corners? Most places hire people who will work their asses off for peanuts, which means a high turnover of people who dont really give a fuck to be able to take on those contracts and still make IF THEY ARE LUCKY $1 off each parcel.

  • No I call them on their stupidity. I'm a union government employee, I know how hard I am to fire.

"The fact that when we deliver something you ordered, to the address you ordered it to, use your doorbell and your dog goes psycho is not OUR problem."

  • Bruh I work for a postal service and you should read the complaints.

Knocked too loud, knocked too soft, used the doorbell and it scared me, put my parcel in my mailbox instead of bringing it to the door, delivered my parcel when I was working from home, delivered the parcel to my husband and it was his birthday present, when the postman delivers my parcels my dog barks, I ordered size 12 pants and you delivered size 14...

Anyone who thinks parcel people are stupid... our staff are no dumber than your average customer.
