  • Most orgs can't have someone doing marketing full-time.

If its one update per year, they're alive and focusing on the important stuff

  • What? I get really annoyed at hardware companies that do software. Like, first thing I'm gonna do with anything I buy is wipe it and install my own OS. Why would you waste so much time making a forked OS?

Do one thing, and do it well.

  • Yeah I was like, did Apple try to trademark the PC now too?

  • The goal of the doomsday machine is to kill everyone. Thats not a good scientist. That's the military

  • Is their chat e2ee tho? I know the video and audio can be

  • No. And there's loads of different providers because you can self-host.

  • I’m increasingly convinced that there is no ‘we’. Rather, ‘we’ increasingly experience the world as isolated and alienated people who are mostly stuck in urban environments dominated by physical corporate and state interfaces (billboards, store-fronts, infrastructure etc) whilst also being stuck behind computers and smartphones dominated by Big Tech, which tries to feed us that illusion that the Internet is a ‘global village’.

  • See It, Say It, Sorted

Never been to London, but I hope there's a counter culture of subvertising that reclaims this as "film the police. Doxx the police. Convict the police."

  • Because thats how we protect civilians.

We're talking about a conflict where two terrorist groups are attacking each other, causing mass civilian death.

When this happens, It is the responsibility of the rest of the world to step-in and issue sanctions and criminal prosecution of war crimes committed by both sides.

  • They also run charities. Think black panthers.

Its the same with Hamas and the US government. Only a fraction of their staff are military, and only a fraction of that fraction are combatants.

It is a war crime to target non-combatants. So when someone says they want to kill everyone who works for the US government or everyone who works for Hezbollah or everyone who works for Hamas, they're saying that they want to commit war crimes.

  • Article doesn't mention how you're an asshole to all your friends and family if you handed your phone over.

Ethically, you'd need to get consent from every person you took a photo of and every person you've ever emailed or messaged. Once you get their permission to pass their data over to the police, only then can you hand your phone to them without being an asshole.

  • Yeah that's dumb as shit. The only reason you wouldn't want to turn off your phone immediately before you have an interaction with police is if you plan to film them
