So 8 cores is doable but 16 no?

I bought Ryzen 3950x 16 cores 32 threads.

The first thing I noticed is some AAA games only utilize 8 cores. When you go multi threaded, it’s a matter of adding more threads which can dynamically selected based on the host hardware. AAA game studios are going the bad practice route.

I understand if they port an algorithm optimized to run on specific hardware as it’s. But, a thread count?

I’m not sure what do you mean by firmware blob but Ive done the following:

1. Added non-free to the sources file.
2. Installed Surface-linux lib.

There is a guide in surface-linux library which requires compiling something with CMAKE. I’m not comfortable at the moment to do it since I don’t have the time to fix it if something went wrong.

I couldn’t find a good touch gui for debian so ill give ubuntu a shot.

I knew nothing about linux 2 years ago and started with installing Debian on my surface go 2. This explains why I couldn’t get the web cam to work to this day.

Hardware was impressive during Nokia’s glory before apps were a deal breaker.

Microsoft screwed developers hard by making rapid changes to metro layout.

Developing countries do the same but they have little to non existent influence over other countries / nations.

Geopolitical interests is the keyword you’re looking for.

Many of so called “developed nations” care more about their interests rather than human rights.

It’s evident now their target is not hamas.

And they’re puzzled why they’re hated.

The catch is privatization make profit a priority.

Sure, the previous government was corrupt but wasn’t infected with the infinite growth cancer.
