You’re making a good point. However, isn’t apples to apples comparison.

Trains are better but not by the way you visualize it.

We selfhost for multiple reasons:

1. We like to host things
2. We care about privacy
3. Sick of subscription models

Its similar yo feeder but it’ll gather articles then process them / store them locally.

You can browse them from its UI or connect via a client. I use NetNewsWire in iOS.

I’ve tried one but it wasn’t accurate at all. Like it says it’s cloudy now in a 49c clear sunny summer day and no clouds to be seen within 1,000 miles radius.

That day I learned many weather institutions would predict the current weather rather than having actual instruments with real measurements.

I thought this was the best thing they did. Each user would have their documents (let call it your stuff) separate from another user.

If you share a PC with someone then you would know how this was a good thing.

Even if you don’t share your PC with anyone, you don’t want your nephew to miss up your saves when he comes in the summer and his mom wants you to allow him to play.
