  • Don't know why you got so many down votes, other than being tangential.

But I would guess it's because of -ol drug name familiarity like Tylenol/paracetamol and maybe some regional vowel differences. I kind of tend to say fentan-ul or fentan-le.

  • Please tell me clients handle everything automatically/on the fly...I recently read a comment making a "joke" about the hassle of needing to manually decrypt/encrypt and the tradeoffs of security...and I can't tell if it was real

  • No distro is really based on a window manager or desktop environment. Some provide defaults and premade configs. I kind of doubt any include hyprland as an option at installation, but, Wayland compatibility notwithstanding, there's nothing stopping you from throwing hyprland on whatever you would like. The best approach is to take a Wayland-ready setup, like Leaflet suggests, and just install hyprland.

  • Aye, true. Though I would consider that case different (slightly, but not fundamentally wrt waves existing) from the sun because on earth there are atmospheric sound waves that just don't reach out to the moon. But I hadn't thought of the possibility of waves going into the sun, so there would be existing waves there too. More akin to making a sound on the moon by vibrating the moon itself I suppose.

Edit: and really, I'm talking out of my ass lol. There could very well be gases or some such to vibrate around the sun, even coming out of the sun and carrying vibrations, but I don't know enough.

  • This was my experience with the generic atomoxetine as well, but without the blood which would definitely freak me out. That, wild constipation, heart palpitations, and somehow more brain fog. The dependency warnings with stimulants worries me, but I just started on 40 Vyvanse after testing 20. Fingers crossed.

  • I'm actually sad that the state of AI deserves the hate it gets. Neural networks are so sick, just going through the example of detecting a diagonal on a 2x2 grid was like magic to me. And they made me second guess simulation theory for quite a while lmao

Tangentially, blockchain was a similar phenomenon for me. Or at least trust networks. One idea was to just throw away Certificate Authorities. Basically federate all the things, and this was before we knew about the fediverse. It gets all the hate because of crypto, but it's cool tech. The CA thing would probably lead to a bad place too, though.

  • Apologies for the late comment. So this is a full-fledged frontend like photon or alexandrite, but with this recommendation engine built in? On first glance, it looks so much more responsive and lightweight! I'm really wondering what you've done that other big frontends haven't lol, no broken images or anything! If you do end up going open source, I might consider actually contributing to something for once. I'd love to help build out some features.

Edit: After using it for a few minutes, wtf, it's snappier than lemmy itself. And the community search, wow! Maybe a pretty ui does something to perception, I dunno. I am assuming you have barrels of cache lol.
