  • As someone in PA lantern flies aren't actually that bad. Over the last two years I've seen almost none. For a bit there you'd see parking lots full of the fuckers. I don't think they're really a threat, at least around me (Amish-Philly part of PA)

  • I disagree, taking people's lives especially premeditated like this surrenders your rights to our society in my book. And for some people, they don't get to just live in a prison forever.

If the state had the ability to end his life a week before he killed, the minute he was attempting to kill or an hour after he killed would you still say they had no right then?

What has changed in the period of those times to now?

  • It isn't whistle blowing if you're using it for your own personal gain. Then it is just politics

He sold away his whistle blower status in my book when he was attempting to manipulate elections and wasn't being 100% truthful

  • i don't see how that is an ironic or contradictory stance?

people who are a threat to themselves or society need to be locked up, monitored and rehabilitated.

simultaneously we need to repair the way we monitor and rehabilitate people because there is a need to do that in society.

  • Interesting.

Putin's rule over Russia is vastly different from Soviet Russia for many reasons but a big one is his friendship with the Eastern Orthodox Church.

That plus the Republican tie to the church is so strange.

I really wouldn't be surprised if in the future they consider Christianity an organized crime syndicate of some sort. Overthrowing governments, definitely tied to human trafficking and I imagine they have hands in other shit too.

Fuck the church man, fuck all organized religions
