  • I've played one other idler. It was more like Antimatter, put some time into, and it annoyed me enough to remove it from my Steam history. I bought one called 64 that I barely started. The only one that I've actually enjoyed is Idle Champions, but boy do I have a lot of time into that one.

  • Heh. How is that a game? I ran it for a couple days. There wasn't a whole lot going on.
But I have a similar pursuit. I have 396 (56%) achievements in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.
Most of it is offline time, of course, but it says I've played 6,323 hours.

  • Fuk me. You people are hillarious.
A huge chunk of my focus is on holding back the years. Exercise, diet, restraint. It aint easy, and I fail a lot. The humor here hits home.

  • Thanks. I've kept it installed. I'll pick it up.

I did the same with Obduction, and Stray too, now that I think of it. Yup, and with Talos Principle.
Puzzle games have to grab me. But I can be grabbed. I finished the first two.

I sure worked on Talos, but I got tired and just watched the end at the top of the tower on youtube. I did buy Gehenna, played it a bit. Never did Talos II, and Reawakened does not look good to me.

Mmm. And then there's the abandoned puzzle game. Turing Test. Ya, its uninstalled. Apparently I completed Chapter 3. I don't feel a shred of interest at this moment, either.

  • Fuk ya man. DOOM will never die. I still open up DOOM 2016 and play that first level on arcade nightmare, just to get a kick.

I've got a folder of all the D1 and D2 standard and freedoom wads. I copy it onto any new linux machine, and I install Boom or whatever.

I have a project that I keep picking up and abandoning for a DOOM OS. Its purpose would be to spin up on a vm, search for a local game, and join a bot to a deathmatch. Each vm would add to the load on the server. How many vms can it run? That's the DOOM quotient. But I'm not very serious about it.

  • Man. I got about 5 minutes into that game.
I think I closed it and started a second runthrough of Stray. Wanted the kitty, not the spaceship.
I should eat some mushrooms or something and give it another shot.

  • Ok. I'm not trying it. I mess with everything.

In a similar theme, I don't like the latest TrueNAS because if you want to mess with the OS, you gotta force it. Annoying as hell. I built my own nas instead.

  • I love lemmy. People try to be nice. Its amazing.

  • Ive learned that a nice simple bean base can be recombined endless ways. I've been making them w less spice and no meat, adding that later in the final meal.

  • I've largely recovered from the american diet after colon probs, overweight, high bp, chloesterol, hypoglyicimic. I lost 50lbs under medical supervision, kept it off couple yrs now w good food. It can be done.

  • There is so much going on in that image. Layer after layer. It made me kinda dizzy.
I knew the threads would be cha0s. I was hoping someone would comment about the image itself. And wow. Hell of a comment. :]

  • I see no politics here. I see a clickbait article.
Not sure where you are coming from either. Looks like we've missed each other completely.
    (K. I explained myself better.)

  • (Ya. I wasn't clear. Fixed.)
I didn't get the rules from this dumb article. I don't quibble with anything the author wrote, but I sure don't like their writing style. If you read the article, you'd know that, but don't bother.

Those are the rules your guts want you to follow. That's what belongs in your diet.

  • My nutritionist sent me to the bulk bins! Bean soup mixes. Weird black rice. There's still lots of things I haven't tried.

  • I'm not down.
That person was advocating vegetarianism, although the word wasn't mentioned once in the article. In fact, they even addressed the nutritional and social challenges of vegetarianism, while avoiding the word entirely. Written as such, the article is less than honest. It's a clickbait tactic.

Here's the rules. (Edit - This is baisc nutrition, not a summary of the article. I differ from the author in that I would never advocate vegetarianism.)

    • Eat food. - Not supplements. Not processed crap. Eat things that can be clearly identified as food.
    • Mostly plants. - Ya, your diet is probably upside down. Have one slice of the roast. Eat a heap of veggies. Start eating beans regularly.
    • Not too much. - This issue goes away when you start eating a lot of natural fiber. You're less hungry. People start asking 'what's your secret'.
  • Your assessment makes sense, but some of the mismatched relationships mentioned here sound like they started out unbalanced, and that must be the case. Some couples are clearly doomed much earlier on.

  • I would so be consigned to fema obama camp panel death with the nazi 100% only solution. Yup. That would be me.

  • Chill. There was no reason to go off on this guy. And you really did. WTH?

  • Ya. That's how I get laid. Bad girls. We ain't talkin politics.
