Probably spent the weekend on Reddit, where liberal debate bro sophistry is king.

• ☑ Spread distrust in the imperial propaganda services known as the western press by spotlighting their deceptions and manipulations.
• ☑ Help people to recognize all the ways their government is screwing them over for the benefit of the rich and powerful.
• ☑ Facilitate the collective dawning of the realization that everything westerners have been taught about their society and their world is a lie.
• ☑ Help people to understand that it really, truly does not need to be this way.
• ☑ Use every means at your disposal to help open up the next pair of eyelids to the ugly reality of the empire.

I’m not sure that works, because AFAIK there currently are no such regulations, and this bill was preemptive of any future ones. In any case, what got blocked in the Senate was a ban of any future such regulations.

Maybe there’s hard data for that somewhere—I dunno—but since COVID, the Chinese state intentionally popped their housing construction bubble and made the capitalists take the hit.

There was growing wealth inequality, while at the same time all boats were rising. But now wealth inequality is shrinking, and all boats are still rising.

The Iranian government has a very heavy hand in that economy and economic freedoms don’t exist like they do in capitalust economies.

Many of us are socialists, and we don’t take issue with a state constraining the capitalist class’ economic freedom. If you live in a neoliberal hellscape like most of us, you ought to want it more constrained, too.
