  • Since 2021 Norris has outperformed his teammate. How come Norris doesn't have the pace to beat Piastri if he's currently 40 points ahead? In '21 he was 45 points ahead of Riccardo, and in '22 it was all of 85 points!

It might be luck, but who cares what it is, as long as he's collecting points for the team!

  • Andrea Stella has warned Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri of their F1 futures at the team if they disobey team orders.

OMG, such drama. Constructors is a priority, understandable. But how about they give Speedy Norris some more support, because he actually has a chance to win the WDC?

  • The radio messages were really weird. Like mentioning all the Sunday meetings, and "I've done all I can, Lando". Somehow I've got a feeling that there's a power play in McLaren for driver #1 and that they're not fully committed to Lando despite him being ahead in points.

Just like Red Bull lose their shit when not winning, McLaren have to get their shit together as long as they are ahead.

  • This race I was surprised by two things: how easily Max lost his chill and that this incident wasn't punished.

I things keep going like this, the constructors might be in danger, but Max himself is comfortably ahead. But if he always removed around and damages morale like that the moment he's not ahead, that will drag the team down.

And how TF could a dive bomb with contact like that go unpunished? At first I thought Max was out to get Lewis - it looked more like a soccer tackle than an attempt to navigate the corner. Is this really how we're racing in the fastest series? Crazy.

  • “type notes like a medieval peasant.”

Huh. I thought medieval peasants were usually illiterate? Even less computer literate?

  • I was in this picture. One or two, maybe even three tall ones every evening, for years. And then I discovered untappd and drinking became gamified. A beer while watching TV can't be alcoholism, right?

For a while I'd been noticing things like a lack of energy and interest, bad sleep, being irritable and impulsive, and bad memory. After a while I had to take magnesium and other supplements. I just considered it all side effects of aging.

Now I've switched to alcohol free beer since about 2 months and every day I'm surprised how much better the QOL already is. I feel fully rested, feel more confident at work, can remember stuff my kids talk about. For lack of a word, I feel more present.

And that experience completely changed my opinion about drinking alcohol regularly.

  • I don't know how the technical implementation will work, but here is a post I found.

The idea is that you transfer money from the bank to your device, just like withdrawing cash from an ATM. Transferring money from one wallet to another should be able to be offline.

It seems like privacy is a priority, if only to satisfy privacy groups and improve acceptance.

  • Recently read an ELI5 of the digital euro and was pleasantly surprised. If it works as designed, you can perform offline payments from one device to another, which sounds like your use case. No central servers, no blockchain.

  • Congratulations on settling on your endgame keyboard!

Once got my Moonlander and put on Dolch XDAs with O-Ring, I called it a day. Every now and then I've been musing about an Ergodash, but I just don't have a good reason to switch.

  • They were being dicks even in the 80s. I remember the Russian Woodpecker. My father was a amateur radio operator and there were whole frequency bands that were unusable because of that prat-prat-prat-prat.

  • This riddle has me at a loss and I will not search the internet for passionate athletic girls.

  • I was pretty surprised by the price Disco Elysium is going for.

  • Can't recommended DE enough, and for that price it's a must buy.

  • My backlog has reached that point where I need to be a responsible adult and finally beat some games, so this time I'll pass.

But the PS games like Horizon: Zero Dawn are tempting.

  • Somehow reminds me of the anime Mushi-Shi.

  • David Cage understandably gets a lot of flak, but the Quantic Dreams games aren't actually bad at all. I've played Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit. And while they aren't top-tier excellent, they were all memorable.

  • Having had both, I can say that with the framework you get a much better display, but you lose the trackpoint. The framework has better repairability, but has less IO. The hardware on the framework is well supported on Linux, but can be hit or miss on thinkpads, especially newer ones.

The only thing I'm really missing on the framework is the black thinkpad chassis - can't really get used to the aluminum.

  • I get the sarcasm, but isn't that exactly what E-Paper tablets are really good at?
