Hey we did all sort of crazy shit with linear algebra, vectors matrices and shit in college programmlng. Now I sometimes do some basic arithmetic in work life. E.g:
Helmets are usually polycarbonate and the common solvent in spray paint is xylene. Xylene causes extreme degradation in polycarbonate. If you don't know if the helmet and the paint are compatible, it's not safe to paint it.
600€ is insane for hardware that's already two generations behind. You can get a computer with better specs for 500€ and it can also do useful stuff while having cheaper games.
At 400€ I'd consider it, since I can actually hear the noise of the PS4 from the living room and through my headphones when my wife is playing it.
Linux gaming seems to be always a bit behind with driver support. Last time I tried it there was no HDR and it was a dealbreaker for me. This time I'd expect FSR snd frame gen is not at the same level they are on windows. My work laptop is still Linux, I boot to Linux on my personal computer if I'm doing my own projects. My homelab server is naturally Linux and so is my personal laptop... but I still do basically zero Linux gaming.
Your phone is measuring time by counting how many seconds has passed since 1970-01-01 00:00 UTC. Doesn't matter if you're on android or apple, the OS is based on ideas of Bell Labs people's ideas from the 1960's.
As long as the non-experts somehow manage to make a living to pay for our expertise. I heard a coworker vent about her son who wants to drop out of school (assuming elementary / middle) to focus on his streaming career...
Not commenting on the politics here. But is seized drugs a good indicator where the drugs that don't get seized come from? Or do the customs also do just logging the drug shipments without interfering to get more accurate data?
This is turning a generation of people tech illiterate. The young people I interact with are smart because they're all employed by a tech company and mentored by us dinosaurs, but I've heard some horror stories of the tech literacy of the average young person.
Yes and no. I could hop on to a 50 year old Unix machine and operate it pretty much the way I use my contemporary Linux computer, thanks to the standard Unix tools being both great and ancient.
The strength of the right is that they'll accept anyone who isn't left.
Here the far right is constantly bickering and their political parties are steadily fissioning. There's pro Putin and anti Putin far right, vax and antivax far right, ethnonationalistic and moderate far right... sometimes it just isn't possible to agree what you hate.
I mean the French are constantly protesting/rioting but their police still brutalize protesters, rioters and innocent bystanders like it's a sport for them.
fucking wasps cause 100x more false alarms than network issues for me. I need a neural net or something that can differentiate between a wasp and a human.
Wouldn't that be the median programmer instead of average?
