What do you mean, the decision is very much a state's rights decision. It stops them from requiring proof of citizenship on federal voting forms but allows them to do so on state forms.

If Russia didn't have nukes, I guarantee you they would have been invaded over their invasion of Ukraine. (Not that they would have done that without having nukes)

If you had told me in 2008 that electing the first black man President would create racial issues in the US, I would have said, that's fine, we need to get passed this. If you had told me that electing Obama would have lead to President Trump, I may have voted for McCain. (Assuming I believed the foretelling)

Let's engage in a thought experiment.

If Harris were to have negotiated a $15 minimum wage with Republicans but to do so had to give up the EPA. Would that earn your favor?

Let us assume that giving up the EPA is too much, do you see a world where the Republicans agree to anything while getting anything you are OK with giving up?

Perhaps you and the Republicans share some common wedge issue, do you think you would get any Democratic support for a bill that makes that trade?

Minimum wage is currently a partisan issue, a party that believes it should be increased and a party who doesn't think it should exist. Just keeping it is as is is a negotiation.

The N word has a lot more implied in its use. I'd say it's more in line with the Spanish word for black, whose implications are mostly derived from historical racial "science" than hate. So its use is far more likely because of older sensibilities, but is not in itself proof of hate.

I think it's not PC because it essentially creates two buckets, white and colored, but it's only as offensive as the case it is used. You can make any adjective a pejorative with enough venom behind it.

Colored is certainly not en vogue, but it's not an unused word.

The process is the product, or in other words, the ends are the means.

I think part of the subtext of the wizarding world is its parallels to British sensibility. You do things the way they've always been done because that's just the way of it. You don't come up with new spells, you rely on the tried and true spells that have been around for centuries.

It is always an open convention. By rules, delegates are pledged but not bound.

If it weren't Trump running I think he would have stepped aside. He believed in 2019, and probably still believes now, that he has the best chance against Trump and that Trump is a singularly existential threat.

I think the sexism is the more likely issue.
